Teaching, Testing, Treasure // Pastor Dominick Butler In Mark chapters 4-5 we find a glorious model for discipleship. Jesus teaches on the Parable of the Sower, one of the most acclaimed & fundamentally needed teachings according to Jesus, Mark 4:13; And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? Right after this amazing teaching from the greatest teacher, the scene shifts directly to the disciples and Jesus being on a boat in the middle of a boisterous storm. The seed that was sowed during teaching was now being tested. When they survived and made it through the storm Jesus sets a demon possessed man free. All of the teaching & testing was to discover the treasure of lives changed by Jesus. Shortly after the disciples see a child raised from the dead and the woman with issue of blood completely healed. Oh the treasure we find on the other side of testing. When we are taught the word we must prepare for testing so that way we inherit & partake more of His Treasure. We Need A Truth Revival // Pastor Dominick Butler  John 12:25; "He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life."  2 Tim 3:1-2; "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves...."   The enemy is always banking on people to love themselves more than the price tag of obedience to God. Throughout scripture we find the enemy's greatest temptation towards man is the love of self. In this teaching we dive into the deep urgency of Paul's final letter to Timothy, his spiritual son. Paul charged & warned Timothy of the turbulent times ahead and how he needed to stand for truth in spite of a culture that is hostile against God.
