Depths of Selah // Pastor Dominick Butler When we read the Psalms it's easy to lose sight of the context of where these prayers were birthed. Psalm 3 is where we find the first appearance of the mysterious word Selah. Its consensus meaning is a musical cue or direction. The more examination reveals it as a pause and call to silent meditation. Selah, gives God the floor to animate your imagination with His Glory.     Psalm 3, is the prayer that arises from David in one of the darkest moments of his life. Family turmoil caused by his own suppression of emotions and thoughts, giving room to the devil to take ground. The Prayer He Desires // Pastor Dominick Butler   Prayer is the journey of discovering the heart of God. We are called to seek Him, and as we seek Him we find Him. The way you know you have found Him, is everything has to change. Revelation is the reward of discovering a brand new glimpse of Him.  Prayer is the invitation into experiencing the Triune Matrimony of the Godhead, the love affair of the ages. James Chapter 5 - Blessed Are Those Who Endure // Pastor Dominick Butler  (Verses 1-11)   James by the Holy Spirit shares in the closing sections of his letter by sharing with the church that those who have gained riches in this life through moral compromise and at the expense of others are on their way to impending judgement if they do not repent. He shares this right before he charges the church to establish their hearts for the coming of the Lord with patience & endurance. Job becomes the character of reference for endurance & perseverance.
