This lesson shows how John the Baptist had faith and believed that Jesus was the One True God. John didn't even get to see all that they other disciples got to see, but yet he knew Jesus was the Messiah and was here to save people from their sins. He preached repentance to all who would listen and pointed them toward Jesus, the One True God.

This lesson covers what repentance is and that it is the first step in the salvation plan as recorded in Acts 2:38.

This lesson shows us that when we have faith, we can see through lies and deception. When Peter and John were lied too, they called Ananias and Sapphira out on it. Their punishment for lying was instant death! I am so glad we still have mercy when we mess up. When Jesus comes back we will not have mercy any longer so we must make sure we have repented of all our sins and changed our ways. We should never lie.

This illustration show that when we praise Jesus we keep the joy of the Holy Ghost stirred up in us. When we feel down or discouraged, just start worshipping God again. He will lift you up, give you joy and your spirit will be renewed. It's always good to praise and worship God.
