Emily Ford has been living in Duluth MN for 7 years and is the Head Gardener at Glensheen Mansion, a historic estate on Lake Superior. She has been solo hiking for 5 years. Many of her trips have been in Northern Minnesota, near Canada. She recently completed the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin. The Ice Age Trail winds its way through Wisconsin for 1200 miles. Emily borrowed an Alaskan Husky called Diggins to complete the trip in a little over 2 months.  Upon returning home, she adopted Diggins! Michael "SY" Sisemore is a 1999 Appalachian Trail thru-hiker who has recently self-published his first book In the Real World I Hike: Transformation of purpose and self in 5 million easy steps. He divides his time between the two real worlds, the social world (work, bills, expectations of society) and the essential world (family, living, exploring, healthy relationships with people, friends, self, nature etc..). When not teaching high school Social Sciences you will most often find him hiking in the Whites of New Hampshire with his daughter and spending very high-quality time with Natalie and his wife Amber in their home in Sunapee, NH.
