The NFC looked to be the tougher conference through seven weeks of the NFL season, but Week 8 exposed a few teams for the frauds they are. Like the Chicago Bears, who fell to the Baltimore Ravens 30-16 even without Lamar Jackson in the lineup. The Dallas Cowboys also got rolled by the Denver Broncos reminding us they are not to be taken seriously. Similarly, the New York Giants are officially done after getting handled by the Philadelphia Eagles and dropping to 2-6. In the NFC South, two teams we thought could be interesting, the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers, both got absolutely whooped in their games in Week 8. Thursday Night Football between the Los Angeles Chargers and Minnesota Vikings was over from the start as Justin Herbert mowed down the home team as Carson Wentz continued to struggle. The Baltimore Ravens will get Lamar Jackson back at quarterback this weekend, but they are in a deep hole at 1-5 and must win against the Chicago Bears if they hope to keep their season alive. Baltimore should be able to win, but the Bears are rolling and should keep it close. The San Francisco 49ers also have dealt with a ton of injuries, but Kyle Shanahan has them playing great ball and getting points at home against the Houston Texans is too good to pass up. Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos got a crazy comeback win in Week 7, but the Dallas Cowboys offense is hot and they should be able to keep it a close game to the finish. Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers take on his former team the Green Bay Packers. The Packers may be a better team, but the Steelers getting points at home is a great value. Finally, the Indianapolis Colts are playing like the best team in the NFL and now they take on potentially the worst in the Tennessee Titans.
