Corey Green – Green’s Karate – Ep196
Today’s guest is Corey Green, a martial artist with an impressive 40 years of experience spanning nine martial arts styles. For the past 27 years, Corey has specialized in teaching Shito-Ryu Karate, bringing his passion and expertise to countless students.
In 1998, Corey founded his internationally certified karate school, which has since become a beacon of excellence in martial arts education. He trained under the renowned 9th Dan Katsutaka Tanaka Sensei for 26 years, an experience that profoundly shaped his martial arts journey.
Corey’s unique contributions to the martial arts world include pioneering inclusive teaching methods that empower students with autism, visual impairments, Down syndrome, spina bifida, and wheelchair users. His innovative approach has led to the development of multiple national and international champions.
An accomplished competitor, Corey is a former national champion and medalist in weapons. Since 1998, he has served as a USANKF Referee and Judge, and in 2022, he achieved the esteemed status of referee instructor. Among his students, he has guided 75 USANKF National Champions and hundreds of regional champions to success.

Jamie Seabrook – American Kenpo – Ep195
This week, we welcome an extraordinary martial artist and academic, Jamie Seabrook. Jamie has been training in Kenpo Karate since 1985 and holds the impressive rank of 9th-degree black belt. His martial arts journey doesn’t stop there:
He earned his black belt in Modern Arnis under Grandmaster Remy Presas in 1991.
Achieved a Black Sash in Dragon Kung Fu under Master Paul Chau.
Holds a Blue Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.
Since 1995, Jamie has run his own martial arts school in London, Ontario. With classes seven days a week and an international black belt class every Thursday evening, he teaches students from various lineages across the globe. He also travels to teach seminars regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Beyond teaching and training, Jamie has authored two martial arts books, further sharing his knowledge and passion with the community.
Outside of martial arts, Jamie is equally accomplished. He’s a husband, father of two, and an academic powerhouse. In 2013, he earned his PhD in Sociology and is now a full professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University.

Rick Roufus – The Jet – Ep192
Today’s guest, Rick Roufus, began his martial arts journey at just 5 years old. Rising quickly through the national point karate circuit, Rick made his professional debut as a kickboxer in his late teens.
Early in his career, Rick competed under full-contact rules, where leg kicks, elbow strikes, and knee attacks weren’t permitted. Despite these restrictions, he achieved an impressive 28-0 record before moving into full-contact kickboxing.
Over his career, Rick amassed an incredible record: 65 wins in kickboxing, 13 in boxing, and 4 in MMA, fighting in multiple weight classes and across the globe.
In recognition of his achievements, Rick was inducted into the World Kickboxing League Hall of Fame in 2012.

Celeste “Azul” Myers – Only The Strongest – Ep189
Join us as we sit down with Celeste Myers, also known as “Profesora Azul” in the Capoeira community. With over 20 years of experience, Celeste’s journey began in gymnastics and sports before pursuing a B.A. in music. She went on to teach music and math in public and private schools for over a decade.
Celeste has not only run two successful Capoeira schools but also made her mark in the competitive scene. She adjudicated at the first ICAPF tournament in Los Angeles in 2012 and earned first place in both the co-ed solo and partner divisions at the Intermountain West ICAPF tournament in 2016. Additionally, she has performed in numerous Capoeira exhibitions, taught workshops across the U.S., and even trained in Brazil. Through partnerships with state programs, she has brought Capoeira to schools throughout the Intermountain West.
Outside of Capoeira, Celeste enjoys tricking, music writing, video games, and spending time with her family. She also co-hosts the popular podcast, Only The Strongest.

Rob Ingram – McDojoLife – Ep188
Rob Ingram has been immersed in martial arts for over 27 years, achieving a 3rd-degree black belt in karate, a 3rd-degree black belt in Lissajous-Do, and a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
As a fighter, Rob boasts an impressive record, going 6-0 as an amateur boxer and 4-2 as an amateur kickboxer.
He spent two years on the international martial arts team “Full Circle” and ran his own martial arts school for four years.
For the past decade, Rob has been consulting for martial arts businesses and founded McDojoLife 11 years ago. Today, he serves as Vice President of Academy Safe, an organization dedicated to raising standards in the martial arts industry.

Eric Lee – King of Kata – Ep187
Today, we have a true martial arts legend on the show: Mr. Eric Lee. Born in China, Eric’s martial arts journey began under the influence of his father, who also studied the art. Throughout his career, he has trained with some of the most respected martial artists in the world, including Master Wen Mei Yu, Grandmaster Share K. Lew, James Lee, and former guest of the show, Grandmaster Al Dacascos.
In the early 1970s, Eric earned the title “King of Kata,” securing over 100 world titles between 1970 and 1974, going undefeated in forms and weapons competitions during that period.
Eric’s accomplishments are vast. He is a recipient of the Armed Forces Appreciation Award, has taught Movie Action at UCLA, and has acted in and choreographed fight scenes for over 80 movies and TV productions. Some of his notable work includes appearances in Mod Squad, Good Guys Wear Black, The Greatest American Hero, Airwolf, Big Trouble in Little China, and many more. He also produced and starred in the feature film The Master Demon.
With over 65 years of martial arts experience, Eric continues to be an inspiration in the community. Outside of martial arts, he enjoys acrobatics, swimming, horseback riding, and even singing.
