Fear and Psalm 23 | Emotions and The Psalms

The following episode is a live recorded sermon from the Sunday gathering at The Heights Church Denver on 04/07/24 Fear and Psalm 23 | Emotions and The Psalms Corbin Hobbs Everyone is trying to figure out how to deal with what they feel. In the Psalms we learn how to bring what we feel under the Lordship of Jesus. We are currently in the middle of “The Year of Prayer.” A full year devoted to learning the power and practices of prayer. In this series we want to use the prayer book of the bible to help us navigate our emotional/feeling life. Each week we will look at one of the eight core feelings and allow a Psalm to guide us in what it looks like to bring that emotion to God in prayer. The Book (2 Chronicles 34) | Revive Your Work

The following episode is a live recorded sermon from the Sunday gathering at The Heights Church Denver on 03/24/24 The Book (2 Chronicles 34) | Revive Your Work Corbin Hobbs Life for the people of God in the Scriptures is often cyclical. Seasons of decline will be followed by seasons of revival. And often, the determining factor for decline turning into revival is a small remnant of people who decide that they want to seek God for a fresh outpouring of his power and works in their generation. These people would pray prayers like the one we find in Habakkuk 3:2: Lord, I have heard the report about you; Lord, I stand in awe of your deeds. Revive your work in these years; make it known in these years. This is our cry during this season. We want to see God revive his work among us in our city and nation. To do this we are going to study six stories of revival in the Old Testament. Throughout these stories we will examine the 6 key ingredients to the “Stew” of revival: 1. Holiness 2. Consecration 3. Faith 4. Resolve 5. Dependence 6. Humility For more information about The Heights Church, or to contact us, visit our website at TheHeightsDenver.com
