#51 Daily Puck Drop

On today's Daily Puck Drop, we cover the incident involving Yankees manager Aaron Boone and home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt. if you didn't see it or hear it, Wendelstedt ejected Boone for something he thought he heard from the dugout but video footage showed it was actually a fan in the stands sitting behind the dugout. Wendelstedt doubled down after the game with a pool reporter and claimed it came from the Yankees dugout.  MLB needs to do somthing about their umpire problem. it continues to erode the integrity of the game. NFL draft coming up on Thursday, we have Danny Kelly from The Ringer on the show later today.  Kelly's episode drops at 1pm on all platforms. What should the Seahawks do at 16?  Agree with Kelly, if Troy Fautanu is there, you run to the podium and make him the selection, even if Michael Penix is available, still take Fautanu!  There is no doubt that one, two or three of these quarterbacks taken in the first round will not work. Who will it be?  I think that quarterback will be Jayden Daniels. I explain in today's show.  Last thing on the draft, "Puck's Draft Watch Party" coming up Thursday at 5pm. We'll broadcast live on YouTube: PuckSports and on X/Twitter @Puck2040, in addition at PuckSports.com.  My guests include, Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, who will be in the network studios in Los Angeles tracking all the picks and trades. NO ONE will have that access!  Also joining on Thursday are: Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com, Bob Condotta, Seattle Times. Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 and Tim Booth, Associated Press. NBA playoffs were unreal last night...Jamal Murray game winner vs. Lakers and Donte DiVincenzo against the Knicks. Just remarkable games last night.   Also talked about my project with Iconic Sonics podcast with George Karl that came out on Tuesday. You can find it anywhere you get your podcasts. Coach Karl talked about his visit to OKC and how it felt going there for the first time. Plus, his thoughts on today's game and where he ranks Nikola Jokic among the all-time greats. Ron Francis met with the media and certainly didn't give Dave Hakstol a ringing endorsement. Was it Hakstol's fault or the GM who put the team together?New weight loss drug? Crystal Meth?  Former actress tried it out...should I ??Lastly, Voicemails return!! Log onto PuckSports.com and email me a 30 second message and we will play the best ones on Friday's Daily Puck Drop.
