Brad Adam, ROOT Sports concluded Thursday’s guests with a breakdown of where the Mariners are at right now.  How much impact has Edgar Martinez made for the offense and would he consider staying on full-time next season under Dan Wilson?  The Mariners will no doubt look at trading one of their pitchers in the offseason, who is the most likely to be dealt…Luis Castillo or Logan Gilbert? Mike Garaolo, NFL Network joined the show for his weekly conversation and Puck and Mike chatted about the week 1 results and whether or not Kirk Cousins is in jeopardy of losing his job to Michael Pennix Jr. very soon.  Seahawks play Atlanta in week 7, will Pennix be the starting QB by then?  The conversation shifts to the situation with Tyreek Hill.  They discussed how the situation was handled and say both sides could have done better and both Puck and Mike agreed that the officers shouldn’t lose their job.

It’s Apple Cup week and the show is obviously heavily slanted toward the game.  The three share their experiences with the game and what it means to each of them. Jordan and Elise talk about the strengths of UW and how they will lean heavily on the ground game with Jonah Coleman.  Puck thinks John Mateer will be the best player on the field and UW will struggle mightily with stopping him when the play breaks down. Puck, Jordan and Elise agree that the game is going to be won and lost with how the respective offensive lines will play. On this weeks “Coug’s Corner” Podcast, Jason “Puck” Puckett is once again joined by WSU head coach Jake Dickert.  It’s Apple Cup week and Puck and Jake chat about the importance of the game and why Cougar fans need to be engaged and involved in this game and for the season.  Coach Dickert points out that he was disappointed in the attendance for Texas Tech and hopes it gets better because the Cougs needs the fans to be involved. They touch on the play of John Mateer and the physicality that he plays with and why he’s the X factor for Saturday. 

On this week’s ‘Old Crimson Podcast, Jason “Puck” Puckett, Jim Moore and Paul Sorensen react to the Texas Tech win but quickly turn their attention to  Apple Cup  One of the main topics is perhaps fan apathy for the Cougar fan base. They also touch on the disappointment in the low attendance at recent games and the need for fans to support the program. Jim is more confident than Paul and Puck and says the Cougs will win by more than double digits. The others are confident but they think it will be a much closer game. They are joined by Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com to get the latest from Pullman.Jim bring’s up Puck’s idea that if the Cougs win they should take a Pac-12 flag and plant it on the Big10 logo. 

Bill Krueger from Root Sports joins Jason "Puck" Puckett, former KJR host and they haven't talked since the firing of Scott Servais and the report that Jerry Dipoto will come back next season as president of baseball operations. Did Bill like the move?  Has Edgar Martinez truly made a big difference with hitting/approach?  Lastly, Krueger shakes his head at the thought the M's could trade Logan Gilbert in the offseason. 

John Canzano stops by and he and Jason "Puck" Puckett, former KJR host,  discuss the play of the northwest schools so far in the season.  Are Cougar fans fired up for the Apple Cup?  Are Oregon State fans looking forward to their game with the Ducks.  Puck asks John if he thinks Dan Lanning is a good coach or just a good recruiter.
