Over the past five years of making true crime podcast Hell and Gone, host Catherine Townsend has received hundreds of messages from people all around the country asking for help with an unsolved murder that’s affected them, their families and their communities.
In past seasons of the show, she’s only been able to focus on one case. But now, she’s hosting a new weekly show called Hell and Gone Murder Line. Every Thursday, Catherine features a new case, adds updates to old ones, and helps as much as she can to get the word out about unsolved murders.

Hell and Gone Murder Line: Tripp Brazeale [From the Archives]
On Saturday, November 2, 2024 15-year-old Tripp Brazeale headed out of his house in Forrest City, Arkansas on a four wheeler. He was thrust into a high-speed chase with a Deputy police officer. Something happened that caused Tripp to abruptly stop and jump off his four wheeler at 12:42 AM and take off running into the woods. Tripp didn’t stop or turn back, he just disappeared. Hell and Gone Murder Line: Larry and Josh Schulman
On August 21, 2017 seventy year old Larry Schulman was home alone sleeping in his upstairs bedroom at his home on Outer Bridge Lane in the Providence Commons area, an affluent suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina. Then at around 3:00 a.m. Larry was woken up in a daze, and found someone on top of him, brutally beating him with a gun. Larry soon realized he wasn't the only victim in the house. Down the hall, his son, Josh, was fatally shot. And their attackers were never found... On March 2nd 1957, 65 year old Maud Crawford, who was one of the most well-known women in her hometown of Camden Arkansas community after she made history as the only female attorney to ever practice law there, was stringing beans at home. Her husband stepped out to go to a movie and when he returned, Maud was no where to be found. Everything in their home was in its place but Maud was never seen again... On June 9, 2009, Angela Stewart pounded on her neighbor, Mark's, door at around 12:40 AM in Mooresville, North Carolina. They lived in a quiet, suburban neighborhood so getting a panicked knock in the middle of the night was very out of the ordinary. Mark was shocked when he opened the door and saw Angela and her one year old son covered in blood. Hell and Gone Murder Line: Carol Morgan [From the Archives]
It was around 7 pm on August 13, 1981, and 36-year-old Carol Morgan was working the till at her corner shop in a town called Leighton Buzzard in the county of Bedfordshire, England. On that night, Carol was working at the shop alone, getting ready for closing, which was at 6pm. But someone surprised her. She was later found in a pool of blood. Forensic testing revealed that Carol had been brutally beaten and stabbed with a weapon, something like an axe or a machete, something heavy but very sharp. She had been hit so hard that pieces of her skull and brain matter were on the floor. On January 28, 2001 Super Bowl Sunday, 18-year-old Jill Lyn Euto was getting ready to go watch the big game with her family. The game started and the halftime show came and went. Jill never arrived. On May 11, 1992 20 year old newlywed Jeninfer Judd was viciously attacked and murdered at home on North Park Avenue in Baxter Springs, Kansas. At 2:30 that day, Jenifer’s husband of nine days, Justin Judd came home from work and found his wife’s body in the kitchen. 33 years later Jennifer’s murder is still unsolved.
