After Toronto city council voted against having Toronto's warming centres operate 24/7 until mid-April, it's been reported multiple times that the city only has 4 warming centers. That's actually not the case, there are other centres the homeless can utilize they are just labeled as respite centres. Gord Tanner, General Manager, Shelter, Support and Housing Administration joins Mark to explain.    

Mark is joined by CJAD Montreal newscaster Dawn Kagan-Fleming for the latest on the 2 four-year-old children who were killed after a driver crashed a city bus into a daycare in Laval, Que. resulting in 2 first-degree murder charges.

In 2002 a report showed how an effective centralized waitlist could ease the burden on our healthcare system. Some provinces are already using them.  Armine Yalnizyan, economist and Atkinson Fellow on the Future of Workers joins Mark Towhey (in for Jerry Agar) to talk about what centralized waitlists do and how they work.
