Matt Costa is a foiler and mathematician who has a hobby of studying wave fundamentals. He comes on the show to educate us on how waves are formed, what makes epic downwind conditions and a ton of stuff you thought you understood but really didn't (at least I didn't...). Cole Kawana has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from USC and did his thesis on hydrofoils. He learned to foil listening to the podcast and is now a guest on the show (he wrote that last part) talking pumping, down winding, and the physics of foiling. He is the founder of the Clean Water Ambassadors Foundation and Japanese American Stories, which produces Holographic AI oral histories of American interment camps.

Zane Westwood is a 26-year-old waterman from Sydney, Australia who has always enjoyed alternative watercraft - finless surfing, bodysurfing... He discovered the foil about a year ago and hasn't looked back.

Ben Ferney is a Hydrofoil Big Air Record Holder (64 frames), who is now surf, wing and river foiling. He has an extensive background in testing and helping in the design of hydrofoils. He is a father, husband and a school district superintendent.

Rob Pirie in an OG foiler, started gaffer taping foils on SUP boards 4 years ago. Favorite quote from the episode is to be the best foiler in the world you have to ride the best gear. He tests everything and reports on Seabreeze forums where he's helping everyone get better and make good decisions.
