Life of The Final Messenger #28 The Expedition to Tabuk
In this episode, we explore one of the most remarkable moments in the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — the Expedition of Tabūk, known as Ghazwat al-‘Usrah (The Expedition of Difficulty).
The ninth year after Hijrah brought a test unlike any before. The heat was intense, the journey long, and provisions were scarce. Yet the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called the believers to prepare for an expedition against the mighty Byzantine Empire. It was not merely a march of soldiers — it was a test of sincerity, sacrifice, and true faith.
This episode highlights powerful moments from this historic expedition, including:
The Prophet ﷺ announcing the difficult journey to Tabūk
The excuses and plots of the hypocrites exposed by revelation
The incredible generosity of the companions, including the donation of ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān (RA)
The companions who wept because they could not afford to join the army
The touching story of Abū Khaythamah leaving comfort behind to catch up with the Prophet ﷺ
Lessons from the ruins of Thamūd along the journey
The peaceful treaties established at Tabūk
The exposure and destruction of Masjid al-Dirār, built to divide the believers
Although no battle took place, Tabūk became one of the greatest tests of faith in the Seerah. It revealed the sincerity of the believers and exposed the hypocrisy of those whose faith was only on the tongue.
A powerful reminder that sometimes the greatest victories are not fought with swords, but with patience, sacrifice, and unwavering trust in Allah.

Life of The Final Messenger #27 The Battle of Hunayn
In Episode 27 of Life of the Final Messenger ﷺ, we explore the events of the Battle of Hunayn, which took place shortly after the Conquest of Makkah.
After the Muslims entered Makkah peacefully, some surrounding tribes, including Hawazin and Thaqif, feared the growing strength of the Muslim community. They gathered a large force and prepared to confront the Muslims.
The Prophet ﷺ marched with a large army toward the valley of Hunayn. However, as the Muslims entered the narrow valley, they were suddenly ambushed by enemy forces hiding in the surrounding hills.
For a brief moment, confusion spread among some of the ranks. Yet the Prophet ﷺ remained firm and called the believers back to the battlefield. One by one, the companions regrouped around him and the tide of the battle began to turn.
The Muslims ultimately achieved victory, demonstrating that success comes not from numbers but from faith, unity, and reliance upon Allah.
