Here he describes a dream experience that resulted in both a poem and a synchronicity. The synchronicity led to him attending a series of seminars sponsored by an organization called Falling Awake. Their approach was contrary to many spiritual teachings insofar as they promote the notion that desires are desirable. Bruce Olav Solheim, PhD, is professor of history at Citrus College in Glendora, California. He also served as a Fulbright professor in 2003 at the University of Tromsø in northern Norway. He has just begun teaching a paranormal personal history course at Citrus College Fall 2018. However, when these rituals become repetitious after many days, weeks, months, and years — they begin to take on a mechanical quality.
