Starting Over After Grief: Dating As A Widow

Dating in 2022 is hard enough, but trying to get back on the scene after the tragic death of a partner is even more difficult, particularly if it's been a long time since you had to think about going out on dates and meeting prospective new partners. Being a widow or widower comes with a whole host of complex emotions for you, but also your friends and family who may all have very strong feelings about when you should or shouldn't 'get back out there' and find new love. The Quicky speaks to two women who've been widowed about their experiences, how they have since helped others, and where they found the courage to once again let go and fall in love. Vitamin Supplements: Helpful Or Just An Expensive Wee?

After two years of living through a pandemic and with the colder winter months approaching, it can be very tempting to rush down to your local chemist and pick up a whole host of supplements and vitamins to try and stay healthy. But could you actually be doing yourself more harm than good if you haven't sought out any professional medical advice about what to take and how much, beforehand? The Quicky speaks to an expert in supplements, and one of our Mamamia colleagues who thinks she may have contributed to her own health issue with too many vitamins, about what you need to know before taking all the preventative pills and potions on offer. 'Flurona': What Happens When Covid Mixes With The Flu?

If there's been one silver lining from the pandemic, it's that over the past two winters, flu cases and deaths had dropped significantly as we've all been in lockdown, washing our hands more and wearing masks. But with nearly all restrictions removed ahead of this winter, there seem to be some very mixed messages about how the flu will interact with Covid-19 as we prepare to enter the colder months once again. The Quicky speaks to a medical professional and a woman whose uncle died from the flu pre-pandemic to find out what you really need to know about keeping safe and well this winter. What It’s Like To Lose Everything To Addiction

The illegal drug often referred to as 'ice', but also 'meth' or 'crystal meth' is the most commonly used illicit drug in Australia, and people living in regional areas are more likely than those in cities to be addicted to it. But despite the devastating impact it has on users, not everyone who is hooked on ice looks like the stereotype of a drug addict, like Andrea who from the outside had it all - a millionaire lifestyle and wonderful children - but still succumbed to addiction. The Quicky speaks to Andrea about how she was introduced and got hooked on ice, how she managed to get off it, and what she wants you to know if you've ever been tempted to give it a try. If you are struggling with addiction, you can speak to someone at Lifeline 24/7 on 13 11 14. Or if you’re worried about a loved one you can reach out to the Family Drug Support 24 hour phone line on 1300 368 186. Is It Just Us, Or Is This Election Campaign Weird?

We are just a couple of days into the 2022 Federal election campaign, but already we have witnessed an incredible amount of gaffes, in-fighting and misinformation, but is this normal or is it all a bit... weird? The Quicky speaks to two experts in Federal politics to find our whether the rest of the lead up to the ballot on May 21st will involve so much backstabbing and ugliness, or if the party leaders might finally pull rank and get their colleagues under control.
