There will be those entering those gates for the very first time, full of nerves and excitement, those who are old hats and wander in like 'here we go again' and for some, it might be the very last time it’ll be their first day back at school, facing down year 12 and all that comes with it. Today is the 26th of January. A day that everyone has an opinion on. Some say the day should still be used to celebrate, some used to recognise it and now they don't, and some have been calling for change for many years.  So where are we at with January 26 as a nation? With the Oscar nominations released today, there is some excitement that the awards season is well and truly underway… but that excitement isn’t what it used to be and those who broadcast the ceremonies are finding all that money they’ve shelled out for the rights, isn’t returning the kind of viewer numbers they used to.
