One Year On From The Invasion Of Ukraine

One year ago, on the 24th of February 2022, Russian troops crossed Ukrainian borders and began what Russian President Vladimir Putin calls a "special military operation"...a campaign to take over the eastern regions of their neighbour.  12 months on, there's still no resolution to the conflict. Thousands of lives have been lost, millions more have been displaced.  So where to from here? In this episode of The Quicky we find out if we're any closer to a resolution or will this war continue for another year ahead?  Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH Feedback? We’re listening! A Viral Photo & Many Conspiracies: Is This Really Madeleine McCann?

On the third of May 2007 three year old Madeleine McCann vanished from an apartment in Praia da Luz in Portugal. The McCanns were visiting from the United Kingdom, where they lived. She was sleeping in a room with her twin siblings while her parents were at a restaurant 130 feet away. The parents took turns checking on the children, but when Madeleines mum Kate checked later in the night, she found her daughter missing.  More than 15 years has passed since Madeleine's disappearance, and uncertainty still swirls around her whereabouts. So, when an instagram account popped up by a Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine, it made headlines all over the world.  In this episode of The Quicky, we speak to the private and psychic detective that's been working on this case for many years about whether or not this girl could be the one to end the mystery of what happened to Madeleine McCann.  Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH Feedback? Inside The Low Information Diet (And No, It’s Not For Your Gut)

Every day we are surrounded by endless information. We are taking things in when we check our phones, turn on the tv, go to the supermarket, get in our cars. It's almost inescapable. Most of us carry phones with us all day everyday. Phones that have the entire internets knowledge at the end of our fingertips.  With our lives now so information saturated, there is research stating that our cognitive function is being impaired by too much information.  A few years ago, entrepreneur Tim Ferriss introducer a concept called the 'low-information diet'. The concept is to limit our intake of unnecessary information to free up time and brain space.  In this episode of The Quicky, we look at what a low-information diet is and whether it's right for you.  Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH Feedback?
