The Relaunch Of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, She's Not That Little Girl Anymore
Her entire childhood, Gypsy Rose Blanchard was made to believe she was sick. Her mother, 'Dee Dee' as she was known, told Gypsy, and the world, that her daughter was terminally ill, confined to a wheelchair with her head shaved. Gypsy was told she had leukaemia, seizures, muscular dystrophy and developmental issues. She was fed through a feeding tube. In 2015 Gypsy and her then boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, whom she met online, plotted to murder Dee Dee. In this episode of The Quicky, we take a look at the life of Gypsy Rose Blanchard. How she took revenge on her mother, and where she is now. Click here to read Gemma Bath's story about Gypsy Rose Blanchard's story. Want to try our new exercise app? What Happens To Your Digital Footprint After You Die?
Have you ever wondered what happens to your online presence after you die? Now with technology like AI and holograms, we're seeing a rise in reanimations to create a version of someone deceased to interact with long after they're gone. We've seen Tupac and Michael Jackson appear via hologram at concerts, Kim Kardashian's famous father was immortalised as a birthday present to her and just last year The Beatles released a new single using AI technology to isolate John Lennon's voice from a late 1970's demo. But how would you feel if someone reanimated you using your digital footprint? In this episode of The Quicky we take a look at the moral and ethical arguments around what to do with your digital remains. Want to try our new exercise app? Secret Sex Tapes & Celebrities Named, The Epstein Docs Explained
In recent weeks, a judge in the US has released a trove of documents relating to a 2015 defamation case brought against convicted child sex trafficker Ghislane Maxwell. Best Of: Inside The Low Info Diet
The Quicky will be back with new episodes from January 15, but until then here’s one of our favourite episodes of this year. Thank you so much for being a part of The Quicky in 2023. Every day we are surrounded by endless information. We are taking things in when we check our phones, turn on the tv, go to the supermarket, get in our cars. It's almost inescapable. Most of us carry phones with us all day everyday. Phones that have the entire internets knowledge at the end of our fingertips. With our lives now so information saturated, there is research stating that our cognitive function is being impaired by too much information. A few years ago, entrepreneur Tim Ferriss introducer a concept called the 'low-information diet'. The concept is to limit our intake of unnecessary information to free up time and brain space. In this episode of The Quicky, we look at what a low-information diet is and whether it's right for you. Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH Feedback? We’re listening! Best Of: There Are 2 Types Of Parents On The First Day Of School
The Quicky will be back with new episodes from January 15, but until then here’s one of our favourite episodes of this year. Thank you so much for being a part of The Quicky in 2023. Next week, Aussie kids return to the school yard for their first day of 2024. There will be those entering those gates for the very first time, full of nerves and excitement, those who are old hats and wander in like 'here we go again' and for some, it might be the very last time it’ll be their first day back at school, facing down year 12 and all that comes with it. Today we’re looking at the different types of kids at the school gate on the first day, how you can help with those suffering anxiety and how to handle your own emotions when your child walks in and never looks back.
