Enneagram as a Tool for Families with Justice Skinner (Enneagram 6) [S03-038]

The Enneagram is a great tool for integration for yourself, but I'd like to encourage you to think of it as a tool that can really impact family dynamics, including strengthening your relationships with your children. When families integrate the Enneagram into their daily lives, not only do parents begin to better understand and distinguish the needs of their children, but children can also learn to recognize their own needs as well as the needs of their siblings. Having this level of understanding creates so much room for empathy and grace for each other. One of the questions I hear most often as it relates to the Enneagram and families is, "How old should my child be before they start learning the Enneagram?" And though I'm not prepared to provide a specific age, I do think it's important to explore the Enneagram as a tool for young people. So, today, I'm excited to share with you my conversation with our youngest guest ever…Justice Skinner. Justice is the eldest son of our very own, Anthony Skinner, and happens to be an Enneagram Six. This interview is full of wisdom and clarity for Enneagram Sixes of all ages. I hope it also gives you a glimpse into the way the Enneagram can operate in a family-system. P.S. ABC News' Paula Faris and the Typing Interview Process [S03-036]

The Enneagram is complicated and nuanced, but human beings are infinitely more complex than the Enneagram. And today's episode proves just that. Our guest, ABC News correspondent, Paula Faris, exudes a lot of energy from a few different Enneagram types. Listen as Ian walks Paula through the Typing Interview Process to help her tease out the types she most strongly resonates with, then offers some "homework" for really unearthing her type on her own. Paula Faris is a senior national correspondent at ABC News and host of the popular podcast Journeys of Faith with Paula Faris, which gives an intimate look at how some of the world's most influential people lean on faith and spirituality in the best and worst of times.
