343. Confidence Code #4: The #1 Thing That Will Sabotage Your Confidence

Comparison can be the number one thing that sabotages your confidence, but there are ways to actually make it the most impactful catalyst for your growth. By switching your focus to the people you want to serve instead of those that are further along in their journey, it helps reframe the comparative thoughts in a meaningful way. Noticing and admiring someone else's light is actually a reflection of your own potential. We can use comparison to empower ourselves and the people that we look up to. These new thoughts will eventually become beliefs if we practice transforming them in the moment and truly embodying them. Listen in to learn more about the fourth principle in the Confidence Code series! In this episode we talk about: How comparison can chip away at your confidence Tools to create a different relationship with comparison Why we need to stop comparing our blooper reel to someone else's highlight reel Examples of how to consciously reframe comparative thoughts Using comparison as a way to empower yourself and the people around you Why I don't think comparison is always a bad thing If you loved today's episode, please share your favorite takeaways or your own systems and processes by screenshotting this episode and tagging us on Instagram! 341. Confidence Code #3: Where Real Confidence Actually Comes From And How To Tap Into It Daily

In part three on the confidence code series, we're getting to the bottom of where real confidence comes from. Confidence, at its core, is really about building trust with yourself and knowing that you're a person that you can count on. The key to having that power is reframing your relationship with integrity and looking at it through a lens of workability, not just failure and success. Throughout my confidence journey, I've noticed three unintentional ways that I've chipped away at my integrity and disempowered myself. I share strategies for how I've restored my power and examples of what it looks like to gain confidence around the promises that I make. I also give tangible steps for how to start putting this into practice and consistently keep your word. In this episode we talk about: What happens when we make too many open-ended promises that we have no intention of following through on Investigating if you're the type of person who is willing to sacrifice the promises that you make to yourself, but keep your word with other people How to take bold action and aim for big dreams despite your fear The most effective way to see where integrity is lacking and how to course-correct Acknowledging the impact that breaking your promises has on you and your community If you loved today's episode, please share your favorite takeaways or your own systems and processes by screenshotting this episode and tagging us on Instagram! ( 4:49 ) Lindsey talks about the importance of integrity when it comes to building confidence. ( 7:51 ) The number one thing that chips away at integrity is when we give our word to too many things. ( 9:33 ) The second one is keeping promises to other people, but not to ourselves. ( 10:48 ) The third one is not mainge promises at all out of the fear of failure. ( 14:26 ) Lindsey talks about, "the practice of being willing to see where integrity or workability is just not there and be able to put it back into place." ( 17:12 ) Lindsey shares an example of what the impact of keeping your word looks like. ( 19:56 ) Lindsey says, "Start to look at the promises you make to yourself and to other people through the lens of, am I prepared to keep this promise? And if so, how am I going to feel on the other side?" ( 21:01 ) Lindsey talks about her relationship with integrity when she committed to writing her first book. 339. Confidence Code #2: How To Silence Your Inner Critic

Just because you have a belief about yourself, what you're capable of, and what other people have over you, it doesn't mean that it's true. It's critical to start to evaluate the thoughts that we hold about ourselves and what's possible, instead of just accepting them as fact. Coming to terms with this idea has completely transformed my confidence and helped me turn down the volume on my harsh inner-critic. In part two of the Confidence Code series, I'm sharing three concrete practices that have helped me to rewire my thoughts to be more empowering and in alignment with my dreams. I talk about breaking the cycle of my insecurities, how beliefs get formed, and the changes that I've noticed in myself since embarking on this thought work journey. In this episode we talk about: Noticing the emotions in your body when your negative voice chimes in Learning more about how the brain works Filling your mind with thoughts and reminders of the new beliefs that you want to cultivate What my negative inner dialogue sounds like when it pops up Resources that have helped me on my confidence journey If you loved today's episode, please share your favorite takeaways or your own systems and processes by screenshotting this episode and tagging us on Instagram!
