This is a rebroadcast of our live Cabana’s show, covering news and announcements made at the Disney Parks Panel, during the D23 Expo. The big announcement for DCL Fans, is the name and theming of their 6th ship, the Disney Treasure. The Disney Treasure will themed all around Adventure, and features, Aladdin and Jasmine riding their magic carpet in the Grand Hall. Stay tuned as DCL will slowly leak out more information, around this exciting new ship. In addition, it was announced that the Disney Wonder will set sail for Australia and New Zealand, for the first time ever in 2023. We finish up touching on some of the other parks news which was announced today. Its an exciting time for Disney Cruise Fans, as the Disney Treasure will join the fleet, sometime in the Summer of 2024. Melissa joins us this week to discuss her and her son’s Andrews cruise from the Hawaiian Islands, back to Vancouver. This was Melissa’s first sailing back onboard the Wonder after a few years, so they were excited to get back on and experience some of the changes on the ship. Megan joins us this week to discuss two of her family’s cruises which they took earlier this year aboard Disney Cruise Line. The first was a Marvel Day at Sea aboard the Disney Magic out of Miami, and the second was a quick two day cruise aboard the Disney Wonder out of San Diego. Megan and her family also upgraded their state room at he port in Miami, to a one bedroom concierge cabin, so we discuss how that works and her thoughts on sailing concierge the first time. In addition, we touch on her thoughts on Marvel Day at Sea, spending 2 days at Castaway Cay this sailing, and finally what it’s like to sail on a quick two night sailing. Alex and Anthony join us this week to discuss their second sailing aboard the Disney Wonder, this time to Alaska. These two Disney Cruise Line fans were engaged aboard the Disney Wonder the first time they sailed on her, so they wanted to get back onboard as soon as they could. We hear all about pre-planning for their trip to Alaska, spending time in Vancouver beforehand, and then all the initial fun they had onboard. Unfortunately, half way through this sailing, Alex tested Positive for Covid. They both then give a detailed account of their experiences from that point forward. They touch on spending time in isolation, and what DCL provided them while onboard, and when they disembarked the ship, to how they followed up with them when they returned home. Unfortunately, Covid is still a factor when it comes to cruising, and we want to give Alex and Anthony a huge thank you for coming on and sharing their experience.
