What do we do when God's truth falls on the "hard soil" of our lives?

You'll waste your pain if you don't start with one important truth: "God is good and you can trust Him" even when life hurts.

The way we think determines how we spend our time, and there is a way of thinking that will inevitably lead to wasting time and a wasted life.

An "unwasted" life is understanding that everything (talent) we have has been entrusted to us by God and that one day there will be accountability for what we did with it.

There is no worse feeling than coming to the end of something and discovering that what you were counting on, depending on or looking forward to couldn't - or wouldn't - deliver what you had hoped for. You've spent money, time and energy that you can't get back. Sometimes it's no big deal; a few dollars here, a couple of hours there. But, what do you do when you realize that you're wasting your life? Everything we have and do is given to us for a purpose. Jesus said there are two ways to live your life. One leads to total loss... waste. One leads to eternal life.

The most important organ in the body is the heart. If we get everything else right but miss the heart, the whole body falls apart. How does God "fix" our hearts?

So we've seen that God can use our past for good. But what does it take to get through each day? What can sustain us no matter what today or tomorrow brings? Jesus gave us the answer.

Our past is our past. Now, what do we "wish" or hope that our future looks like? Is it possible that God can take whatever is in our past and use it FOR us instead of against us?

Many of us have "inherited" traits and tendencies from our past. Some good. Some not so good. How can we use the good-and allow God to use the "not-so-good"-for something good?

When life looks uncertain, Jesus tells us what to do FIRST. This truth that He teaches applies to all of the other "most" important areas of our lives, including, our finances.
