Real faith (confidence that God really is good and keeps His promises) makes a difference in the way we live our life.

Many of us would finish the phrase "All my life..." with something like: "I've felt distant, cut off, separated from God". A lot of us have lived a long time with a deep sense that not only are things not as they should be but we are not as we should be. The question is, how do you really connect with God?

What would a better life look like if I follow Jesus?

All my life I've been searching for something or someone to tell me who I am, what I'm worth and why I'm here.

We're building on truth, covering everything with love and getting rid of the junk. Now is the time to start filling up the house with good stuff.

With a foundation of truth below and a covering of love above, now is the time to start cleaning house.

If building a good life can be compared to building a house, then what's the equivalent of putting the roof on? What is it that provides, shelter and protection from the storms that will come?

The first question is not, "What kind of life do you want to build?", the first question is, "What do you want to build it on?"

Everyone is building something and everyone wants to build something good: plans, goals, relationships. The problem is, many of us have no idea what good looks like, let alone, how to build it.

If you watch the Olympics you will see people who have worked harder, gotten up earlier, spent more time and effort than anyone else in the world get rewarded for their efforts. That is the way many of us approach God. Many of us believe that the harder we work to be good, the more God owes us His acceptance. Is that what Jesus taught?
