Sam Crome, a Deputy headteacher and author of 'The Power of Teams,' discusses the transformative impact of collaboration in education. He highlights the shift from individual leadership to high-performing teams, drawing inspiration from sports dynamics. Joined by Jessica Lobbett who since training to teach in 2009 has held leadership roles within both Teaching and Learning and Pastoral remits. A true believer in inclusivity in education, holding a firm belief that all children should have access to the highest quality of education in a warm and nurturing environment. Jessica was delighted to be appointed to her first Headship in September and and is extremely proud to now lead a large comprehensive secondary school. On the show we discuss how to prepare for the role and tips for managing new stakeholders. Ultimately students are the key focus for any leadership role and drive behind a successful team.
