Hunter Biden's Conviction Shatters Trump's Persecution Claim
Donald Trump is claiming that the Department of Justice is being weaponized against Republicans. Glenn says the trial and guilty verdict of Hunter Biden proves otherwise. Note the recent CNN headline: "Hunter Biden conviction shatters Trump's persecution narrative." The way the Republicans and the Democrats have reacted to the Hunter Biden conviction and the Donald Trump conviction tells people everything they need to know about which party respects the rule of law and which party does not. It's a cult and Republicans think they have no choice .Tell them they do.If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Reaction to Hunter Biden's Conviction vs. Trump's Conviction
Last week, Donald Trump was convicted of 34 felony crimes that he committed to try to gain unfair advantage in a presidential election. Throughout the pre-trial proceedings and the trial itself, Trump and his lackeys in Congress endlessly yammered about the trial being a witch hunt. Trump threatened and endangered everyone who was involved in the endeavor of holding him accountable for his crimes: witnesses, jurors, prosecutors and judges. In stark contrast to Trump's reckless and dangerous behavior, the Hunter Biden case involved NO threats or intimidation of witnesses, jurors, prosecutors or judges, no cries of which hunt, no efforts to undermine the public's perception of the legitimacy of the criminal justice system. These differences tell you all you need to know about who respects the rule of law and who does not.If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Trump Meets with New York Probation Officer
Donald Trump sat for an interview with a New York probation officer who will prepare a pre-sentencing report to be used by Judge Juan Merchan in connection with Trump's sentencing. However, if we care about preserving free and fair American elections and deterring others from committing the crimes Trump committed - falsifying business records to gain unfair advantage in a presidential election - than Judge Merchan MUST sentence Trump to a period of incarceration rather than just probation. Glenn discusses the accepted principles of sentencing in our criminal just system and why a term of incarceration is necessary for Trump's crimes. If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Trump Vows Revenge Against His Enemies
The contrast between Donald Trump and President Joe Biden as far as the rule-of-law could not be more stark. As a HuffPost headline announces, "Trump Says Revenge 'Can Be Justified' In Latest Threat To Political Enemies." Contrary to Trump, President Biden has chosen the rule of law by declaring he will not pardon his son Hunter Biden in the event of a conviction, but rather, will accept and respect the jury's verdict. There is one important decision President Biden made early in his presidency: to leave in place a Republican, Trump-appointed US Attorney, David Weiss, who was conducting the investigation of his son Hunter. This shows the true measure of the man - President Biden did not want to be perceived as interfering with an ongoing investigation of his son, even though, as president, he had every right to nominate his preferred US Attorney for Delaware.

Federal Judge Orders Steve Bannon to Report to Prison to Serve his Sentence
Accountability has finally come for Steve Bannon for his two contempt of Congress convictions. A jury convicted Bannon nearly two years ago, but Trump-appointed Judge Carl Nichols allowed Bannon to remain free pending appeal, contrary to the presumption in the law that a sentence is to be served while a defendant appeals his or her conviction. After a federal appeals court rejected Bannon's appeal and affirmed this conviction, Judge Nichols reversed course and ordered Bannon to report to the Federal Bureau of Prisons by July 1, 2024, to begin serving his 4-month sentence.

Reps Mike Johnson and Jim Jordan Have Decided Their Full-Time Job is to Obstruct Justice for Trump
Representatives Mike Johnson and Jim Jordan are trying to convince the American people that the Department of Justice has been weaponized against Republicans. They ignore the reality that, at this very moment, the DOJ is prosecuting Senator Bob Menendez, a Democrat, they just indicted Rep. Henry Cuellar, a Democrat, and the feds are prosecuting Hunter Biden, son of a president who is a . . . Democrat. Glenn discusses how, in reality, Johnsons and Jordan are obstructing justice in an attempt to assist Donald Trump in evading accountability for his crimes.

By Refusing to Take Responsibility for His Crimes, Donald Trump May Pave His Own Way to Prison
On July 11th, Judge Juan Merchan will sentence Donald Trump on his 34 felony convictions. Just as is true in all criminal sentencing hearings, Judge Merchan will base his sentence in part, on whether Trump will take responsibility for his crimes. Indeed, after a conviction, accepting responsibility for one's crimes is the first step on the road to rehabilitation. If a defendant refuses to accept responsibility for his crimes, that suggests that he is not amenable to rehabilitation, and it generally will result in a longer prison term. Will Trump accept responsibility for his crimes? When pigs fly.One of the accepted principles of sentencing is general deterrence - deterring others from committing the same or similar crimes that Trump committed, crimes designed to gain unfair advantage in a presidential election. If ever a prison term was necessary to deter others who would choose to replicate Trump crimes, it is in this New York case.If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support us and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

What Does it Say that a "Truth Social" Juror Convicted Donald Trump on All 34 Counts?
During jury selection in Donald Trump's criminal trial in New York, some on the right, like Rep. Matt Gaetz, were celebrating - gloating even - when they learned that a gentleman designated "juror # 2" told the judge during jury selection that he gets his news from Truth Social. Matt Gaetz even tweeted, "LFG Juror #2!" Well, juror # 2, together with his 11 fellow jurors, voted unanimously to convict Trump on all 34 felony charges. And they convicted him in a New York minute - deliberating less than two days after a several-weeks-long trial. Glenn discusses the main takeaway from the fact that a so-called "Truth Social" juror found Donald Trump guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

The Homicide Victims' Families' Rights Act: Help for Families Who Lost a Loved One to Violent Crime
We have nearly 300,000 unsolved murders in the United States. That's 300,000 families who sit by the phone waiting for a call to come from a detective saying, "we've got a break in your loved one's case." These calls almost never come. When I retired from the Department of Justice, after decades of prosecuting murder cases in Washington, DC, I was determined to do something about that, and I proposed the Homicide Victim's Families Rights Act ("HVFRA") to Congressman Eric Swalwell, himself a former prosecutor. He heard me out and led the charge in an effort to bring long-overdue hope and help to homicide families. In 2022, the HVFRA became law, and it provides that homicide families have a legal right to require the involved police department to review the homicide investigation of their loved one and, depending on the results of the review, a full reinvestigation by a new team of detectives. We are now in the process of pushing this federal law to the states as model legislation to help homicide families in all 50 states. And we need your help - homicide families need your help. Below is a short, sample letter you can write to your state elected officials urging them to pass a state version of the HVFRA. Help bring hope - and legal rights - to homicide families in your state:Dear Senator/Representative _______________,I am writing to urge you to enact a state version of the federal Homicide Victims’ Families’ Rights Act (“HVFRA”). The HVFRA is designed to give families who lost a loved one to violent crime a legal right to have the relevant police department conduct a review of the homicide investigation once the case has grown cold and, depending on the result of the review, a full re-investigation.Homicide families sit by the phone waiting for a call from a detective saying, “we have a break in your loved one’s case.” Those calls almost never come. Homicide families deserve to have a legal right to have their loved one’s homicide investigated fully, thoroughly, and professionally, and the HVFRA gives families that right.Georgia has passed a version of the HVFRA, California is moving in that direction, and hopefully other states will soon follow suit. Please give homicide families in our state some hope that their loved one’s case will be given a review/reinvestigation to ensure that everything that can be done will be done to bring some closure and healing to families that have suffered the loss of a loved one to violent crime.Thank you for your consideration.Sincerely,----------------------------------Thank you friends. It takes a team . . . Trump Again Inspires His Supporters to Violence
In the aftermath of Trump's criminal conviction, his supporters are endangering the judge, the prosecutor and the jurors. As NBC News reported, " Trump supporters try to dox jurors and post violent threats after his conviction."It's time to put a stop to Trump's dangerous, violence-inducing rhetoric by sentencing Trump to prison.
