Minimum Financial Obligations
Shout Outs Twitter
Shout Outs iTunes
Why is it that we always focus on the minimum?
We only hit the bar that we set for ourselves
The bills we pay that are most important.
How do we determine important?
The ones that have an immediate consequence attached to them
Car payment, cell phone, rent etc.
Saving and investing have no immediate consequence and as a result we don’t do them to the level we should.
Coaching call
We can teach you to not only meet your goals but exceed them
Stop the cash spurts and get into cash flow
If you are struggling to keep the light on or dealing with a feast and famine Real Estate practice
What are your minimal financial obligations
Things you should be responsible for.
Food & Shelter
All else is second
Difference between needs and wants
I want to own a big house
I want to drive a fancy car
I want to have the finest clothes
The problem most people have with money is they spend it
They buy a bunch of things they think they need but simply want
Savings, taxes and debts are the last things they pay, if they have money left over to do so.
The way to fix it is to do it backwards. Spend your money on the things that are important and YOURS first and everything else last.
Savings give you power and will buy you time
Debts stop you from putting money to work for you
Pay yourself first, needs and then wants
Debt free living

Business Bros – Episode 87 – Win-Win Scenario
We as sales people are in the business to help a willing seller and a willing buyer through a mutually beneficial transaction. We are not there to destroy one side or the other nor are we there to give in to every demand. We want to find a Win-Win outcome like Stephen Covey describes in 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. With the changes from Las Vegas and how they interact with Zillow, many agents have taken a side on this being a good thing or a bad thing. We discuss that on today's episode and a shout out to @kristinhutchis6. Be sure to join the conversation on Twitter @BusinessBrosPod or @SiasFirst on Facebook.

Shout Outs Twitter:
@kristinhutchis6 - Getting her comedy on, this bartender/mom/wife looks like she has some great stories to tell. Giving her a shout out here to push her to keep going and to let her know we are looking forward to her content.
Las Vegas has decided to pull out of Zillow and other websites just like it
No more auto feeds to Zillow, Trulia Realtor etc
Control will stay with the Realtors
Good or bad?
Agents are worried about their jobs
Clinging to the old way of doing things
Grizzled veterans want to keep information close and privileged
You are a salesperson, your “job” is to be the expert and help a willing buyer and seller close a transaction
If you generate you do not have to tolerate
Technology and innovation will change the landscape
EXP Realty
Zillow
Suppressing the information from the consumer will have unintended consequences
Clients won’t be as informed
Clients will be upset when their homes are not online
Clients will blame agents for limited exposure
Why do we give out all this content for free?
We want you to be successful. We want to hear your story and how the content we provided motivated you, sparked an idea or changed the way you did business.
We strive to be of service to you, so that you can be of service to your clients.
The coaching and content we provide is amazing but it ultimately requires you to take action.
No matter what you hear, what we prescribe or how we teach you to do something, if you do not make it a daily habit to put it into practice, it will never provide you the results you are looking for.
This is why we want you to get your free coaching call.
Accountability, helping you build the habit.
Habits
Thank you to @TheBrainyBiz Melina Palmer for her episode on habits where she does an amazing job talking about how habits works. Checkout her episode 21.
Win-Win: Stephen Covey
In many sales transactions salespeople have a mindset of stomping on their competition in order to rule on high as the best sales person.
You win and the other side Loses - Win-Lose
That mentality is not needed. Although you can make money that way, you will always feel like you are watching your back or burning bridges
Eventually no one will want to work with you and your deals will get that much more difficult
You can’t give in to every term and condition either. You must be able to negotiate so that the transaction if completed with your parties interest in mind. If you give in to every term you don’t meet the needs of your client.
You Lose and the other side wins - Lose-Win
Sales are done when a willing buyer and a willing seller agree to complete a transaction
Our job is to facilitate the sale so that both sides win.
No need to gouge one side or the other
Find ways to agree to terms so that the seller and the buyer are both happy.
Win-Win

Business Bros – Episode 86 – Gangsta Rap and Entrepreneurs
In this episode we attempt to make a connection to Rap Hip Hop and our desire to become Entrepreneurs. We give light to a possible reason why we mimic the people we look up to and attempt to buy what they buy, live how they live and ultimately try to live beyond our means to our own detriment. When I was a kid, I listened to EZ-E, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Bone Thugs, Biggie, Jay-Z, Eminem etc.
We loved the fame, the fortune, the cars, the houses, the fans, the parties etc.
We would sing their songs, dress like them, buy fake rims, and spent our youth time and money trying to be them.
We were all groupies in one way or another because marketing got smart and used our attention to do more than sell albums.
They sold clothes, jewelry, shoes, cars, grills.
Music never disappeared, we all know that no matter how old we are or what we listen to, we love our “old school”
The artists got older and they have exited the party life and grew up.
Over time they got older.
With age, they diversified their profits and began to do what every profitable individual does, the invested.
Some invested in music, others in brands, car dealerships, commercial and residential real estate, tech companies etc. If they wanted to maintain their lifestyles they needed to become entrepreneurs.
As we, the normal people, aged, we too had families and responsibilities that video games, partying, and the hip hop culture took a back seat and we went to work.
But we remembered the good old days.
We wonder what those atrisit are up to these days and low and behold, we see former gangsta rap & hip hop superstars as business owners
They have the fame, the fortune, the cars, the houses, the fans, the parties etc. just like before but they did it another way.
And this one we can replicate all we have to do is…. HOLD THAT THOUGHT
We only see the successful ones. We only see them at fancy events like red carpets, taking selfies with fans, random sightings at the airports and their 1M views on social.
We fall prey to the the easy button “All I have to do is go viral”.
Like it's the lottery winning ticket to “doing whatever I want.”
What you don’t see is all the time spent perfecting a beat, or recording, or writing, or meetings, tapings, product meetings, design meetings, legal, accounting marketing, sales, social and web and on, and on, and on.
We are about to make the same mistake twice.
Don’t fall prey to keeping up with the gangstas
We are to Kardashian when we should be more 2 Broke Girls
We work too hard to throw money away following the same trends over and over
If that stuff makes you happy, then get that stuff but make sure you get it with money that your money earned for you not with the money you worked for.
There's a big difference between you buying a thing and you buying a luxury.
Rich people buy luxuries while poor people but fancy things.
It’s because rich people’s money buys them things and you work for your things.
You want to be like the type of person you admire?
Learn to earn a profit (Entrepreneur), then learn make that money work for you (Investor).
Understand that simple pattern and you are a winner at this game of money.
Seriously it’s that easy!

I always like to start at the end. What does retirement look like to you?
We need to do some math and decide with all honesty what that looks like
Trailer, Condo, House, Ranch, High Rise, RV?
Will you need $4,000 or $6,000 or $10,000 per month or more?
Once you know what that number is you can now work towards that goal. The sooner you get there, the sooner you win!
If you are 25 now and you create enough income from your investments to cover your living expenses by 40, you are rich!
Rich is when your money works for you and you no longer work for your money
What are you waiting for?
No one is going to do it for you
It’s not your boss’s job to make you rich
You have to have a side hustle. Real Estate is a great side hustle or primary hustle. Schedule your free coaching call
Your time is up. You died today
I know that is grim but what if today was your last day on earth?
What have you accomplished? What did you not accomplish?
There are many people who never get a chance to do what they wanted to do.
Time is the only asset we can never get back yet we squander it every day
Write your own eulogy
This is an activity I have done before and each time I find myself being grateful for the things I have never had to pay for.
The time with my spouse, kids, family
The material things take a back seat to all the things that truly matter in life, the relationships I have with people.
10,000 people at my funeral
Your focus in business is to be of service to others
That means that if you do that, daily, when you die there will be 10k people at your funeral
Make your work famous by being of service to your clients and truly care for their well being and their happiness by providing the best service possible.
The more people you can help achieve their goals at a higher level, the more you will be rewarded in relationships, accomplishments, money and time.
What are you doing to achieve your goal
Do you have a goal? Is it Specific? Measurable? Attainable? Realistic? Timely?
Goals with out and action plan are just dreams
When you are focusing your goals on how you will be of service, rather than how do I get something you will see a transformation in how you do things every single day.
There are a number of opportunities out

Business Bros – Episode 84 – The Real, the 1/2 and the Fake Entrepreneur
In this episode we talk about the 3 different levels of being an entrepreneur. We are not in anyway describing the quality of entrepreneurs but the level of commitment that one places on their business. Our hope is that you look in the mirror and decide what it is you want to be and then progressively work towards that. It begins with figuring out for yourself where you are and where you want to go. The Real, The ½ and The Fake Entrepreneur
Twitter Shout outs:
@PoshNotions for the constant twitter love.
@JustCallMeJessy: Concerned with being overwhelmed in trying to accomplish a million things at once.
We interjected and suggested that she FOCUS and set a time block for each task and only work on that one task for that dedicated time.
iTunes ShoutOuts: Max Buyson & Justin Woods: Listened to the episode on Why Sales People Suck.
The real Entrepreneur
Dedicates his entire work day to his business
Dependant on the profits to survive
There is not other means of income
Risk is not a word they take lightly
Should be profit driven and schedule based
The ½ Entrepreneur
Not dependent on the income to survive
Entire day is Not dedicated to business
Profit driven but risk is more acceptable
Not accountable to winning and can move on quicker
The Fake Entrepreneur
Claims to be in business but probably just has a hobby
Spends a lot on his hobby with zero understanding on profit, expenses or accounting
Loves to talk about their “business” as an CEO
Works on his business in his “free time”
Which are you?
It’s important to be honest with yourself and understand what area you fall in.
Once you are clear where you are, you can develop a plan to change or not
Focus your attention on being profitable or focus on having fun with the hobby.
What is it that you want to achieve?
Fame? Fortune? Escape? Profit?
Without knowing what you want, you will be stuck spinning your wheels

Business Bros – Episode 83 – Big Block Realty Event in Eastlake
This episode was recorded right after an event hosted by Big Block Realty in Eastlake. We were invited by Jose Valencia, loyal listener and former guest, to come out to this event at the last minute but we are grateful that he did. James and I got to put into practice the same coaching we give our clients, to use the FORD script to meet new people and generate leads. May I say, it always works well. We give shout outs in this episode to the people we met at this event Mark and Michelle Mesker, Ryan Lipsey, Carlos Rodriguez, Will Fuller and Juanita De La Torre. We met a few others like Zabi and Carly (sorry if we spelled your names wrong) who we didn't get cards from and still a few more people who we know we will be working with to help train agents at Big Block in the near future. Hope you enjoy the show. As always please join the conversation on Twitter @BusinessBrosPod or on Facebook @SiasFirst to ask your questions or show us some love.
