Episode #26: Beyond Lyme Disease with Dr. Raj Patel, MD

About My Guest: Dr Raj Patel has extensive experience with, various natural therapies including nutritional medicine, homeopathy, herbs and mind-body medicine. Integrating these diverse therapies with allopathic medicine has enabled Dr. Patel to offer a highly refined approach to healthcare that produces lasting results. Since 1993, Dr. Patel has specialized in helping patients struggling with "Chronic Fatigue" (CFIDS), Candidiasis, food sensitivities, thyroid and other hormonal imbalances, chronic infections, and heavy metals. Over the years, Dr. Patel has specialized in treating patients with Autistim Spectrum Disorders (ASD) as well as Lyme and other vector-borne diseases. He began working with autistic children in 1999 and to date has helped over 500 children on their road to recovery. Another area that Dr. Patel specializes in is treating Lyme disease. It is well documented that patients with chronic Lyme disease also suffer from Candidiasis, food sensitivities, accumulation of heavy metals, and hormonal imbalances. Episode #25: Parasites in Chronic Illness with Dr. Todd Watts, DC

About My Guest: My guest for this episode is Dr. Todd Watts, DC. Dr. Todd A. Watts is a national board certified Chiropractic Physician in Idaho, a Functional Wellness Practitioner and is licensed with the Pastoral Medical Association. Dr. Watts' passion for helping others restore their health so that they can live their true purpose stems from his journey in overcoming his health struggles. His journey began at the age of 28 when he had Epstein Barr Virus and by the time he was 40 he struggled with arthritic pain in his hands, wrists, low back and shoulders, along with chronic headaches and muscle tightness in neck, shoulders and back. He also struggled with food and seasonal allergies, chronic fatigue, night sweats, muscle fatigue and twitches, brain fog and memory issues. Attending a medical conference on Lyme disease, he identified with many of the symptoms of Lyme and its co-infections. He later tested positive with a blood test for a chronic Lyme infection. On his journey with treating Lyme disease, he seemed go through cyclical patterns of feeling good and then crashing. He met another practitioner who told him he had parasites which was causing many of his symptoms as well as the cyclical pattern. Having gone through many Lyme protocols, he realized that addressing the parasites was vital in overcoming the Lyme disease and the rest of his symptoms.
