Now make no mistake, there were many Councils of Nancia and in one of them, they decided that Jesus had a birthday sometime in December. Comedian Mark Normand joins Chris Distefano this week and guest hosts the poddy. As most people don't know, Mark is from New Orleans, Louisiana but he doesn't consider himself a southern comedian. He tells us about growing up in NOLA, wild 2 weeks off from school for Mardi Gras, and serial killers like Marie Delphine Macarty and The Axe Man of New Orleans. The Axe Man of New Orleans did not seem so woke as he targeted Italian Americans but yet loved jazz music. The guys give their predictions and we think they discover who the serial killer was -- whose identity was never found! The boys visit Chazz Palminteri and record an episode at his house!! This episode is the history of Chazz Palminteri! The guys are enjoying the best coffee in the world made by Chazz's wife and the best stories of Chazz's life. Chazz shares growing up in the Bronx, New York, working as a bouncer and actor. He shares about how he started the movie A Bronx Tale. He remembers telling his father telling him, "the saddest thing is wasted talent" and made sure to make the movie on his own. He tells Chris and Yannis about meeting Robert De Niro for the first time and how he was the reason A Bronx Tale happened the way Chazz saw it. The guys are later joined by Chazz's son, Dante. Dante is a very talented singer songwriter that joins in on the Hyena fun and tells his stories in the Bronx. The guys are back in the studio and it’s another episode of going wild. New game show idea: Hyenas talk and people bet if certain things they say are true or not. What do you think Cuz? We love it! This episode is about Gandhi and there are a few UNCOMFORTABLE truths about this Cuzzie. One of the most peaceful guys around, Ghandi was a civil rights leader from Porbandar, India. After living in South Africa and experiencing apartheid, Ghandi returned to India to gain independence from British rule. The kid liked to walk around half naked and promote the revolutionary idea that you can fight for something in a peaceful way. As you may know Gandhi was jailed for organizing protests, boycotting courts and more. He would even protest by refusing to eat for days. He famously protested the British salt tax and embarked on a month long walk to the Arabian Sea with thousands of people. And won! What a guy! But he also did some not good things. For example Gandhi believed in practicing celibacy and would “test” out his ability to refrain from lustful urges with young girls. GA-ROSSS! The Comanche were from the Great Plains, which is considered Colorado, Kansas Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico today. They were some vicious dope horsemen that did some brutal things. In fairness, the settlers did try to take their land, so many raidings from the Indians and the new settlers that became the Plains Indian war starting in the 1850s. One of the most WILDEST stories was from Cynthia Ann Parker, a settler who was kidnapped in 1836, at age 10, by the Comanche war band. She lived with the Comanche people for 25 years learning the Comanche ways and forgetting English altogether. What is even WILDER what happens when her white family raids her tribe 25 years later? Chris Distefano tells Shane that he just got back from Salem, Massachusetts and he feels that things in 2020 are beginning to mirror what is happening during the witch hunts of the 17th century.
