Quantum Realities: Where Healing Begins
— Shamanism accepts that our physical world interacts with spiritual ones that we can communicate with through altered states of consciousness. Shamanism understands that in the inner worlds everything is both conscious and interactive. A shamanic practitioner enters a trance state to access the collective consciousness to gather information about a person that they are making the journey for. With hypnosis, we can help clients access their own information through their own journey. This is far more beneficial than having a shamanic practitioner journey for another as we individually can get far deeper awareness and connection to our own energy streams and stories. We can activate or deactivate energy patterns or things that we know or can feel as the right things to do. Valeria Teles interviews Lorna Wilson — the author of "Healing Journeys Through Quantum Realities: The Handbook" Lorna Wilson is an Advanced Hypnotherapist, Shamanic Practitioner, Mentor, and Spiritual Life Coach. Lorna became a close student of the late Dolores Cannon the pioneer of the Quantum Healing Hypnosis method. Lorna is the author of a practitioner's manual on how to conduct Healing Journeys into Quantum Realities. She is currently writing a book about healing that combines her hypnotherapy and shamanic skills. On a personal note, Lorna enjoys helping people find meaning and purpose in their lives. She is a deeply spiritual woman with a passion for unraveling the mysteries of the mind. She is very optimistic and always chooses to see the brighter perspectives presented within our life stories. As far as Lorna is concerned, a glass is never half empty but always half full! She loves to inspire and to be inspired and her goal and passion is to provide the sacred space where people can explore their own multidimensional soul history to help them discover the real meaning why they have incarnated at this incredible time in Earth history. Forgiveness Is A Loving Choice
— Life isn't limited to the tangible reality we experience on this earth, and that our worst adversaries can become our greatest teachers. It's a story of how forgiveness is the best revenge. Valeria Teles interviews Kirsten Mickelwait — the author of "The Ghost Marriage: A Memoir". Kirsten Mickelwait is a professional copywriter and editor by day and a writer of fiction and creative nonfiction by night. At thirty-one, Kirsten has just returned to San Francisco from a bohemian year in Rome, ready to pursue a serious career as a writer and eventually, she hopes, marriage and family. When she meets Steve Beckwith, a handsome and successful attorney, she begins to see that future materialize more quickly than she'd dared to expect. Twenty-two years later, Steve has become someone quite different from the man Kirsten first met. Unemployed and addicted to opioids, he uses money and their two children to emotionally blackmail her. The couple separates but, just after their divorce is finalized, Steve is diagnosed with colon cancer and dies within the year, leaving Kirsten with $1.5 million in debts from properties that are no longer hers. It's only then that she finally understands: The man she married was a needy, addictive person wrapped in a shiny package. As she fights toward recovery, Kirsten begins to receive communications from Steve in the afterlife—leading her on an unexpected path to forgiveness. She's also an alumna of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, the Napa Valley Writers' Conference, the Paris Writers' Conference, and the San Francisco Writers' Conference. Her short story, "Parting with Nina," won first prize in The Ledge's 2004 Fiction Awards Competition. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she's at work on a new novel. Empowerment From Ayurvedic Wisdom
— From the Sanskrit AYUR - meaning 'life' and VEDA – meaning 'knowledge' AYURVEDA quite literally means the knowledge of life and to have an understanding of Ayurveda is to have a blueprint for good mental and physical health. Ayurveda is the world's oldest holistic health system originating from the Indian sub–continent. It has been used for thousands of years to cleanse and restore balance to the body and mind. Despite it being more than 5,000 years old it couldn't be more relevant to our modern, busy and stressful lives. Valeria Teles interviews Elise Rousse — a Teacher, Well-Being Coach, Ayurvedic Consultant And Masseur. Elise is a Yoga Teacher, a Well-Being Coach, an Ayurvedic Consultant for lifestyle and nutrition, and Ayurvedic Masseur. For many years Elise suffered from food disorders, tremendously struggled with body image and self-esteem, and couldn't really live at peace with herself and others. Her journey to health and well-being started with the plant-based diet which helped her find a sustainable and healthy way of eating. After healing her body, she found Yoga to heal her mind and soul. Ayurveda came to her a little later as the latest piece of her healing process. Ayurveda is a science of self-healing, the sister science of yoga, it is the ancient Indian art of living a more healthy, wholesome life, through our diets, our routines, and lifestyle practices. Elise's mission in life, her dharma, is to help you meet your Best Self, to live a more authentic & purer version of yourself and to find balance in your body and mind. Through her well-being coaching sessions, Yoga classes or Ayurvedic Consultations, Elise empowers you to improve your well-being through small, sustainable, healthy diet & lifestyle changes. She creates a safe space where you feel you can be honest about your health and mindset without fearing judgement, and she will help you identify a cause rather than symptoms. Elise lives and works in Brussels, Belgium at the moment but she also does consultations online. Yoga Therapy: Healing Pain & Feeling Joy
— Millions of people suffer from orthopedic conditions that call for therapeutic interventions, ranging from chronic low-level discomfort to pain that stops you in your tracks. Over the years, I've observed that with physical and emotional discomfort, we subtly adjust our life around our deficit. If our knee hurts, we take the stairs less frequently. If our back hurts, it affects how we sit down and stand up. Sciatica and chronic knee pain are perfect examples of this. Sometimes, when recovering from an injury, it is essential to do this so as not to reinjure ourselves. Other times, discomfort eclipses previously enjoyable activities because they have become too difficult. Before we know it, our ongoing discomfort has limited our ability to fully participate in life. Yoga Bones offers condition-based yoga therapy for readers to design their own home practice, to heal pain, and to increase life engagement. Valeria Teles interviews Laura Staton — the author of "Yoga Bones: A Comprehensive Guide to Managing Pain and Orthopedic Injuries through Yoga." Laura Staton holds a master's degree of Science in Occupational Therapy from NYU and is a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist specializing in injury rehabilitation. She works as a Senior Occupational Therapist at a Northwell Health teaching hospital and is the co-author of Baby Om -Yoga for Mothers & Babies. Laura is passionate about yoga's powerful effect on physical and emotional well-being, and how this interacts with daily life. For many years, she was a dancer and choreographer in NYC and received her BFA from The Juilliard School. Celebrating You As A Work Of Art!
— "Not knowing who we are and that there is a doorway to freedom, we continuously suppress Spirit inside us with our intellect pondering our pasts — the whys, the how comes, the what ifs and if onlys — trying to figure out why whatever happened, happened to us and not to someone else. We try our level best to figure out what we did wrong to deserve what happened. Unbeknownst to us, we make what happened to us bigger than who we really are and subsequently say no intellectually to a life that we could live with so much more expression and happiness. Truth resides deep within." Valeria Teles interviews Jan Grobler — the author of "Get the Hell Out of Your Own Way: Tips and Tools to Heal Your Past and Create the Life You Love." Healing Through Conscious Movement
— When loss is so deep it can freeze us. Grief and loss make it hard for us to immediately absorb everything that has happened. So we are a bit like deer in headlights; behaving in unexpected ways or shutting down entirely. Shutting down has such a bad reputation and it's true you don't want it to go on indefinitely. But it has allowed me to take a moment and regroup. It reminds me of the moment when ice arrives for the first time in the winter. Those who live with that reality know you need to take a moment of pause to re-calibrate walking and driving. Business as usual stops with ice! Ice keeps the reality of our vulnerability very much alive. It makes us come alive in our attention and feeling so we don't hurt ourselves navigating it. Like ice, grief makes us very aware of how vulnerable we are. Like ice, we have to approach our grief consciously, with all of our attention so it doesn't engulf us or take us away from the warmth of our lives. Doing so can make us strangely fully alive. Valeria Teles interviews Donna Brooks — a Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist, Yogi, And Embodied Meditator, Counselor And Coaching In Movement And The Healing Arts Donna brooks has 40 years experience in unwinding limiting and painful habits in the body and in the mind using conscious movement. Her specialty is in using imagery to rediscover movements of innate health and balance. As these movements are uncovered we feel more alive. There is more ease and a loss of tension and pain in our bodies and our lives. We also meet the suffering and loss inherent in life differently. Donna has designed and taught programs for Parkinson's Disease, MS, cancer, stroke and chronic pain. If you go to her website - Original Body Wisdom.com you can read about her own losses and recovery.
