The "Heart Work" Of Being A Spirit

Today, I fell in love with the act of filling my water jug as if it was a caring watershed. And I wanted to put every joy into cutting vegetables because they nourish me; to fold all of my affection into my clothes because they caress me; to infuse endless delight in tidying the house because it wants to indulge me. Now, I am delirious as if I found the lost city of gold after stumbling around in the jungle all my life. I am not really dancing but the moves are audible. On the surface, it is just one of those sly, starry-eyed smiles. If you ask me what I am doing that makes me so happy, I will tell you, "I finally met someone to love." This poem is called "I Met Someone" by Nick LeForce Valeria Teles interviews Nick on Self-love, the Archetypal Journey, Transformational Poetry, and other related topics. Everyday Life and Lasting Inner Peace

Inner peace requires that you start to listen and to act on what you hear. It is a multifaceted path where you work on self-love. Not the ego's love. It is an unconditional love. The reason we can't love well those who are not in alignment with our own beliefs is because we don't know how to love ourselves unconditionally. We each contain within us our shadow side, the side that is clearly illustrated by those we encounter who agitate us. We need to love those parts of ourselves as well as the parts we like. We can work to change aspects of our self we don't like but the starting point has to be self-unconditional love. We need to learn how to love ourselves before we can love others well. Jesus (the ascended master—not the religious being) showed us what that perfect love is like. It is a wonderful goal to embody that feeling and to project it outward in our everyday life — says Theresa Joseph. In this episode, Theresa talks about her inner peace journey and how we can all find the Extraordinary in the Ordinary. Theresa Joseph is the author of Everyday Mystic: Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary, Everyday Mystic: Daily Messages for a Life of Love, Peace, and Joy, and the Everyday Mystic Blog is a mystic, spiritual mentor, intuitive healer, Reiki Master and artist whose mission is to help others live their fullest, most joyful and most loving life. Joseph guides readers through her popular Everyday Mystic series to fully embody the marriage between their humanity and their divinity enabling them to bring deep inner peace, joy and love into their lives. Prior to this Theresa spent 18 years in finance at International Business Machines. She has a bachelor's degree in economics and an MBA in banking and finance. Redefining Masculinity

Michael DeSanti dedicates his book: New Man Emerging to the Divine Feminine. He writes: For centuries you have called for peace, screamed from the treetops that a life of beauty is possible, and have patiently waited for boys to put down their foolish games that have caused the world heartache and despair. For far too long have you wept at night praying for another way as we men ignored your plea and went on fighting, comparing, and competing, only to never be satisfied. In our immaturity, we have caused suffering and pain by simply refusing your deeper wisdom and patience and foolishly mistook your vulnerability for weakness. I am as guilty as the rest, and my mistakes and blind spots are far too many to count. I ask for your love and forgiveness as the masculine awakens. It is my promise, that in our mistakes, there were seeds of wisdom planted that are now emerging. This book is my contract with you that I am putting down my sword and walking off the battlefield completely. I do this not from a defeat of spirit but quite the contrary, but rather, with a clarity of purpose and vision that is fueled by your beauty and love. A commitment to healing the wounds that we have collectively caused by our sleep. We are awakening. You can rest now. We are coming home to you. Valeria Teles interviews Michael DeSanti. Michael DeSanti is the author of New Man Emerging. He a Transformational Trainer and also the owner of Authentic Self Healing LLC, a mens' fulfillment coaching company. His latest endeavor is "Find Your Tribe" an online coaching company for men who are committed to living their lives at their full potential. Body Image: The Picture We Don't See

Vanessa Delgado says that people fail to realize the in between of the pictures. The bad day's that may well can last for day's, weeks or even months on end. The time including years of effort, consistency, frustration that involve tears, failures, successes, and hardships. All the boring stuff that magazines don't sell, diet books that miss this topic, coaching programs being sold that lie. All the unsexy stuff not shown on social media. The day-to-day grind. Being in a time where cosmetic surgery minor or major, common or not common, people often slap a transformation on their pictures while making people believe it was done naturally. A picture cannot capture behind the scenes of everything behind the time frame one often places on the pictures or captions. The common belief of things being a lot more simple than it actually is. The magic happens in the hardest part of it all. When you say no to certain foods, when you have to remind yourself daily of why and to do it. Really I can give you a whole long list of what really happens. Although this isn't a post about that, rather the whole idea. These pictures glorify dramatic changes or weight loss, rather than at least including health. Often times people are only looking at the "the bigger the number the better" let's not forget if it was done in a crazy unrealistic time frame. No one really looks at the healing of your health inside and out. Valeria Teles interviews Vanessa Delgado. She is a ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and work with clients online. She focus on helping people get started on their fitness and health journey (lifestyle coaching). Vanessa began her journey six years ago when she decided she needed to make a change in her life. She was at a point where her had gained weight, feeling depressed and felt unhealthy and scared because a lot of unhealthy diseases run in her family. Vanessa had no knowledge on nutrition or training, and had never dieted but she didn't let that stop her from making changes. Throughout her journey, she went through many changes and obstacles such as body dysmorphia, under eating, bulking, extreme dieting, amenorrhea, disordered eating, and dealing with comparison from Instagram influencers and bodybuilders, etc. Through trial and error, she became passionate to learn to overcome the obstacles she faced, and although she made a lot of progress and learned a lot, Vanessa still had trouble knowing what balanced was or looked like. It wasn't until she started going to Therapy where she really reached a point where she learned a lot of what was missing and the source of unhealed wounds. As she began to work through those, the feeling of not doing or being enough, the perfectionism that showed up in her fitness and health lifestyle really began to come together and make sense and lead her to find the permission she needed to have healthy balance lifestyle. Resilient Insights for Work & Life: From Burnout to Balance

To outsiders, often our respective jobs seem unique, fun, and enviable. Little do your friends know that you work while everyone else plays. You juggle travel schedules, demanding colleagues and budgets that often require miracles. You have days in which you feel stretched so thin you're transparent. Your family recognizes you from the picture posted in the den or else your kids won't talk to you because they've been warned to stay away from strangers. We know that beneath this humor is the pain of reality. Research testifies that Americans across all economic spectrums are working more hours than ever before. Technology, which was to have made our lives simpler, in many ways, has added to the speed and overload we all feel. Eileen McDargh has been tracking work/life balance issues for over 20 years and without a doubt, from Australia to India to the British Isles, we are all now united in an epidemic that has no overnight cure and costs businesses millions of dollars in health costs and reduced productivity. What can you do about it? In this episode, Valeria Teles interviews Eileen McDargh about balancing an unequal life, connecting consciously, living holistically and more… Since 1980, Eileen McDargh has helped organizations and individuals transform the life of their business and the business of their life through conversations that matter and connections that count. She has become known as a master facilitator, an award-winning author, and an internationally recognized keynoter and executive coach. She draws upon practical business know-how, life's experiences and years of consulting to major national and international organizations that have ranged from global pharmaceuticals to the US Armed Forces, from health care associations to religious institutions. Her programs are content rich, interactive, provocative and playful—even downright hilarious. In 2019, Global Gurus International, a British-based provider of resources for leadership, communication and sales training, also ranked her FIRST as one of the World's Top 30 Communication Professionals following a global survey of 22,000 business professionals. Eileen has written six books and her seventh book Burnout to Breakthrough: Building Resilience to Refuel, Recharge, and Reclaim What Matters will be published by Berrett-Koehler Publishers in the summer of 2020. Overcome the Unexpected with Love and Grace

Depending on your situation you may be experiencing the stresses of isolation, worry about your health, or that of family and friends. You may be facing economic hardships. If you are lucky you might only be struggling with working from home and keeping your household running despite the constraints. All of these situations can cause us to demonstrate and, in the longer term, develop resilience. It is critical to manage your expectations at this time. You must reconsider your expectations of yourself and others. If you are feeling highly anxious and are somewhat numb from the changes you are facing, this is not the time when we get to pull resilience out of thin air and start to use it. On the day of the marathon, for instance, you can use the endurance you developed during all those months or years of training. You don't develop your strength during the struggle of the run but you get to use what you laid down in training. We only have access to the resilience we have already developed, through our past efforts and experiences. So expect, at least in the short term, to just "get through it". You need to hang on tight and do what seems to make sense in the moment. Be kind to yourself. ~ Kelly Ann McKnight In this episode, Kelly Ann McKnight talks about The Resilience Way of living. Kelly Ann McKnight was left a widow at forty-five with four children to raise. Her journey is one of courage love, hope and learning. In her recently published book, The Resilience WayTM she shares her story, and the story of her late husband as they navigated through cancer diagnosis, treatment, end of life, and moving forward. In the book, Kelly Ann also shares the experience of the people she met along her journey. Her research into resilience has become a model that helps others to learn about the skills they need to develop, to be truly resilient. These are people just like you and me… overcoming adversity and finding their way though life. Kelly Ann has also run a successful consulting business for over twenty years. Her work has involved training and coaching in the leadership development field. She now includes workshops on resilience as part of her practice. The Key Is Self-Awareness

In this episode, Valeria Teles interviews Romi Grossberg. She is a social worker and author who specializes in mental health and emotional well-being. Author of 'The 5-Minute Guide to Emotional Intelligence' and more recently 'The Key, A Social Emotional Toolkit for Teens,' Romi has been published in numerous forums such as The Huffington Post and Griffith Review and has presented on the TEDx stage in Cambodia. After living in Cambodia for three and a half years as the Manager of a hip hop center working with street kids, Romi wrote her memoir 'Hip Hop & Hope, from the slums of Phnom Penh' which she just finished. She now lives in southern Thailand working as a holistic counselor and writing therapist for adults and teenagers both at a wellness resort and online. Romi also travels to conferences teaching 'The Key' to educators and goes to schools to teach 'The Key' to students. "Your E.Q. (emotional intelligence) is based on self-awareness. It is understanding your emotions and why you react to people or situations the way you do. Increasing your awareness is important for the very simple reason that it ultimately makes life easier! It is difficult to notice the good or acknowledge the 'not so good' in life if you aren't aware in the first place. Understanding and increasing your awareness and learning some of the tools in this book can help you deal with pressure, anxiety, school life, friendships, relationships, arguments, family life and growing up." She says. In Romi's book 'The Key' she also discusses the concept of friendships with teens. "And speaking of friendships, do you have any friends that you can completely and truly be yourself with? Or do you need to think and edit yourself before you speak? Do you do or say what is cool and what you're expected to say? Or do you say what you really think because you know it is safe to do so and that you won't be teased, looked at funny or told you're weird? Think about it. Be honest with yourself. It's not exactly a lie when we say what we know other people want to hear, but it's not always the truth either. It is us trying to fit in, not stand out, be cool. We all do it. But wouldn't it be cooler if we didn't have to always concentrate or try so hard? If we could be honest with ourselves and our friends and know that everything would just be okay? Being different or being called weird is not the end of the world. I personally think that is cool. Why should we all be the same? Wear the same clothes, share the same thoughts, always agreeing out of fear of not agreeing - the world would be a very boring place. If all of your friends like shopping and you don't, then decide what you like to do and you can join the others later. True friends accept all of your similarities and differences and respect your choices. True friends can agree to disagree without having an argument. Finding friends that support and encourage your interests and passions is important." – says Romi Grossberg. Ancient Food Wisdom & Modern Nutritional Science

This episode is about overcoming overeating, overweight, and obesity by nourishing yourself physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially each time you eat. Valeria Teles interviews Deborah Kesten who explains how the Whole Person Integrative Eating (WPIE) dietary lifestyle can help you transform your relationship with food and eating and in turn help you attain and maintain weight loss. The Whole Person Integrative Eating dietary lifestyle is about discovering what to eat to attain and maintain weight loss but also how to eat based on ancient food wisdom and insights from modern nutritional science: with positive feelings, mindfulness, gratitude, loving regard, and social connection. Deborah will tell you about some studies that have revealed these more invisible "ingredients" of the program may be more powerful determinants of your weight and well-being than what you eat. Physically, the dietary lifestyle we tell you about in Whole Person Integrative Eating can help you choose optimal foods so you can begin to lose weight. Emotionally, it can help you to minimize and release negative emotions (such as anxiety and anger) when you eat and instead enjoy food filled with positive feelings (such as contentment and joy). Spiritually, it can help you to connect to your inner self by relating to food with mindfulness, gratitude, and love. And socially, it can help you to rediscover the healing power of dining with others as often as possible. Deborah Kesten, M.P.H. is an international nutritional researcher, award-winning author, and medical and health writer with a specialty in preventing and reversing obesity and heart disease. Author of the award-winning Feeding the Body, Nourishing the Soul and The Healing Secrets of Food, Deborah currently is a VIP Contributor to Thriveglobal.com.
