Freedom: The Essence Of Spiritual Longing

Freedom is something every human being desires. Freedom is the essence of our spiritual longing. It is liberty, it is deliverance, and it is the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. There are both physical and spiritual freedoms. When the spirit finds freedom, physical bondage loses its power and control. Aside from love, Cassie Hutton believes it is possibly the greatest desire we have. True love is the power to set us free. America was founded for the sake of our freedom. Our forefathers wanted freedom from King George III's oppressive rule over the people. Even our pets and animals long for freedom. If you've ever kenneled your dog, it leaps with joy the moment you open the cage. It will jump, bark, run, and play until its energy is exhausted. Cassie grew up with horses, and many times she had to keep them stalled. When she was in college, that's all Cassie could find for boarding. She remembers making time to turn them out of their stalls. She would fling the gates wide open and they would take off running, bucking, playing, and enjoying every second of their freedom! It was one of the most enjoyable things she did while she was in college. Cassie looked forward to it. Watching them play and enjoy their freedom was liberating even for me. She got to stop time just for those few moments every afternoon; where class assignments and tests were not on the agenda, where the evening sun and the bird's song became her study, where her mind stopped spinning and all people, papers, and problems no longer existed. Valeria Teles interviews Cassie Hutton. Cassie is a passionate lover of Jesus. She carries the the Holy Spirit and spreads it wherever she goes. Her greatest desire is to see others come alive for Jesus in a greater measure and grab hold of the promises God has given them. She learned early on that the lies the world plants into our hearts and minds play a huge role in how deep we will go in our walk with Christ. She has a desire to cast down every lie and replace it with God's biblical truth. Some of Cassie's earliest testimonies are being set free from the bondage of abortion and error. Upon salvation, the Lord spoke to her and commissioned her to "Go share your testimony"! She has been doing that ever since and has recently written her story, "Finding Freedom: A Personal Exodus from Deception to Identity". The Symphony Of Love

Self-Love Earplugs These two fluffy puff balls are for you to nestle into your glorious ears. To protect you from the static, the insidious buzz of gossip, vile words that sting your eardrums, and pollute your heart. Qualities Of Highly Resilient People

Resilience is something we all want, but how do we get it? In this episode, Valeria interviews Dr. Den Houter who offers a fresh perspective of the inner-workings of resilience. Dr. Den Houter was puzzled why one individual would surmount unbelievable challenges to lead a happy life, while another was stuck with just half the worries. From her successful clients, seven resilient qualities emerged and she became passionate about sharing this powerful message. Valeria interviews Dr. Kathryn Den Houter. Kathryn's early years were spent on a hobby farm in southwest Minnesota. Living on the prairie in the heart of the Midwest taught her many lessons about resilience, the blessings of simple faith, compassion for one's neighbors, and the value of honesty as the bedrock for good relationships. She attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she received her teaching credentials. Her first years of teaching were in the Wisconsin public school system. But, the fresh beauty of Michigan and the state's aspiring people wooed her back to the area. After training in a Montessori Method in Chicago, she became a Directress at Marywood Montessori School in Grand Rapids. There she met her late husband, Len Den Houter. They raised four children on a small hobby farm near Lowell, a small burg east of Grand Rapids. Kathryn pursued a doctorate in psychology at Michigan State University and began her private practice in 1989. For twenty-five years she had an immensely fulfilling career as a psychologist. It was from treating hundreds of clients that she formulated her theory of resilience. Also, after becoming a widow in 2006, her own resilience was extremely challenged. From all the years of helping others through tortuous waters, she was able to help herself. Today, she will be sharing her insights about resilience. Dr. Den Houter is the author of four books—two of them are nonfiction (Van: A Memoir of My Father and Resilience: A Workbook). The most recent books are two historical fiction books (Abigail's Exchange and Cobalt Chronicles). These books articulate the struggles of women, who, by the end of the novel, prove themselves to be both resilient and compassionate. Life: The Ever-Changing, Flowing River

Most people think they are in control of their life, but life just happens, and every single decision that you make as it unfolds shapes how you experience it. You navigate your life, making choices as you are faced with your experiences, and you have free will to surrender or resist. You can choose to follow the higher wisdom of your soul or keep blindly seeking to control how your life unfolds. Life is always in flow, continually changing and evolving. You can learn from it or fight it. Imagine for a moment that life is like an ever-changing, flowing river. As it encounters obstacles, it changes it course and does not resist or fight them. It flows around obstacles in its path with patience and ease, unconstrained by its surroundings. It adapts. Approach your life as if it were flowing water, and learn to adapt to its vicissitudes instead of resisting or fighting them. Valeria Teles interviews Claudia Velandia. She is the author of WAKE UP! : How to Get Out of Your Mind, Stop Living on Autopilot, and Start Choosing Your Best Life. Claudia Velandia is inspired to inspire people to connect and align with their essence so they can experience life fully, without limitations, and together contribute to the well-being of the world. Nine years ago, she found herself hitting rock bottom. She was living in the motions of living. She didn't like what she was doing with her life and where it was heading. She felt without purpose and meaning. She was looking to escape from her mind and her emotions. Her outlets were working, partying and dating. But all that they did was deepening her suffering. To get out of her own way, she started working on herself and looking within. She opened the connection with her spiritual path. She began to make changes and not allowing herself to get in the way of living her best life. Now that she is on "the other side," she can recognize how all of it was created on her mind. She was living as on autopilot. She began to realize that individuals are suffering because they are living so much in their minds. They are also limiting their potential as they continue living from a conditioned perspective —they are in the box that is also impacting their well-being. Her observations lead her back to school and become a Certified Conscious Leadership Coach and the founder of Quantum Thinking. It inspired her to write this book. Consciousness: The Light Within Us

Despite popular belief, attaining presence is not about thinking or trying to be here now. Rather, it is a naturally occurring state that arises when our eyes and mind, triggered by light, focus on the same place at the same time. In response to light's invitation and guidance, our eyes begin an intricate dance of aiming, focusing, tracking, and teaming. When light first "awakens" us, our eyes aim toward its emanation, initiating an all-encompassing presence. Though we often relate presence to attention, it has no tension associated with it. It is not a forced voluntary process of selecting one aspect of our environment to focus on while ignoring others. Presence is an involuntary response to an invitation by life 's intelligence pointing us toward our maximum potential. ~ From the book Luminous Life: How the Science of Light Unlocks the Art of Living by Dr. Jacob Israel Liberman. Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Liberman. He is a pioneer in the fields of light, vision and consciousness, and the author of numerous books. Originally trained as an optometrist and vision scientist, his life changed in 1976 after the miraculous healing of his eyesight, leading him to a deeper understanding of light and the science of life. Having helped countless individuals recover their eyesight, he began to understand the words of Jonathan Swift, "Real vision is the ability to see the invisible." An internationally respected author and keynote speaker, Dr. Liberman's work has been lauded by best-selling authors and world-renowned thought leaders from Eckhart Tolle and Deepak Chopra to Bruce Lipton. His first book, Light: Medicine Of The Future (Inner Traditions Bear & Company, 1991), established him as one of the leading authorities on light and color therapy in the world. His second book, Take Off Your Glasses And See: A Mind/Body Approach To Expanding Your Eyesight And Insight (Crown, 1995), was inspired by the recovery of his vision and offered a radical new approach to natural vision improvement. Wisdom From An Empty Mind (2001), a compilation of spiritual essays, written and self-published by Dr. Liberman and his son Erik, received praise from award-winning artists and spiritual luminaries. The Science Of Happiness & The State Of Nature

When you feel good, your brain is releasing dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, or endorphin. You want more of these great feelings because your brain is designed to seek them. But you don't always get it, and that's natural too. Our brain doesn't release a happy chemical until it sees a way to meet a survival need, like food, safety, and social support. And then, you only get a quick spurt before your brain returns to neutral so it's ready for the next "survival opportunity." This is why you feel up and down. It's nature's operating system! Many people have habits that are bad for survival. How does that happen if our brain rewards behaviors that are good for survival? When a happy-chemical spurt is over, you feel like something is wrong. You look for a reliable way to feel good again, fast. Anything that worked before built a pathway in your brain. We all have such happy habits: from snacking to exercising, whether it's spending or saving, partying or solitude, arguing or making up. But none of these habits can make you happy all the time because your brain doesn't work that way. Every happy-chemical spurt is quickly metabolized and you have to do more to get more. You can end up overdoing a happy habit to the point of unhappiness. Wouldn't it be great if you could turn on your happy chemicals in new ways? Wouldn't it be nice to feel good while doing things that are actually good for you? You can, when you understand your mammal brain! Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Loretta Breuning. She is Founder of the Inner Mammal Institute and author of Habits of a Happy Brain: Retrain your brain to boost your serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin and endorphin levels. As Professor of Management at California State University, and as a parent, she lost faith in prevailing views of human motivation. Her search for answers led to studies of the brain chemistry we share with earlier mammals. Suddenly, everything made sense and she began creating resources to help people manage their inner mammal. The Inner Mammal Institute offers videos, books, podcasts, multimedia, and a training program, to help you make peace with your inner mammal. Dr. Breuning's latest book is Tame Your Anxiety: Rewiring Your Brain for Happiness. Life Changing Choices

We must move through our trauma before it is possible to restore wholeness, experience lasting joy, and develop our true potentials. After abuse or trauma, we can think the best way to deal with our brokenness is to keep it buried deep down inside of us. Somehow we think it is safe there and forgotten about. It is not. We carry that weight with us. When we keep the trauma buried, it can hang onto anger and resentment, affect our coping choices, hurt our relationships, and prevent happiness. It is not until we move through and out of our pain, that we can then establish becoming our best selves and find fulfillment. We matter, our stories matter. We CAN go from feeling damaged to feeling worthy. It is possible to heal from our traumas. It is possible to become whole again after brokenness. You can become Kintsugi. Kintsugi is a Japanese art form where they take broken pottery and put it back together with lacquered silver, platinum, or gold. It comes with the belief that once something has been broken, it can become stronger and more beautiful once repaired. The cracks are meant to be highlighted, not hidden. It is a means to become whole again and embrace our imperfections. It's time to break the silence. It's time for uncomfortable conversations. It's time to start eliminating the statistics. Valeria Teles interviews Cathy Studer on the six attributes anyone can use to initiate healing while reducing the occurrence of depression, anxiety, or PTSD. In this episode Cathy also provides practical actions and tragedies to identify and eliminate sexual abuse. Cathy Studer is a survivor of long-term childhood sexual abuse. After pulling together the pieces of her own shattered life, she discovered her purpose and now passionately shares the critical components required to becoming whole again. During her journey, Cathy has transformed from survivor to advocate warrior. As a speaker and coach, she is passionate about encouraging others into healing and raise awareness to defeat the statistics. She lives in Ohio with her husband, and a loving yellow lab, and has two amazing adult children. A Truth About Your Beauty

Can you see how beautiful you are? If you fail to see it then you have blinded yourself with the illusion of appearances. If you fail to feel it then you have not yet connected to the self beneath your surface, For it is not what you see in the mirror that rightly determines your beauty. The outer part of your body is but a temporary outline until time passes by and profoundly makes its mark. It is the dynamism of your inner being that reveals your handsomeness Not only to yourself but also to others, since people can uncover your inner splendor once they have stripped away your outer veneer. For what you really are is the resonance of your own feelings so as such, you must feel glorious from within. A truth about your beauty? Your outer aspect is a physical trait that is already fading away, Yet your inner charm is a vibrational state that can be felt from a long way away And thus, your attractiveness is found in your heart, drawn from your own personal charisma And can everlastingly reflect your magnificence, as it is a genuine beauty that can forever remain. Writes Cécile Correa on A Truth About YOUR BEAUTY from her book A Truth About... 52 spiritual poems to nurture your ever-growing soul. Valeria Teles interviews Cécile. With roots in Guinea-Bissau, Cécile Correa was born in France in the small picturesque town of la Seyne Sur Mer in la Côte d'Azur. She left France in her early twenties and planted her feet in England with the goal to learn English. Unable to speak the language, her first jobs were really modest. First as a nanny, and later in housekeeping and bar work, Cécile kept her motivation high through a simple Mantra, that with every improvement in English she would rise higher. Her ambition and entrepreneurial grit helped her go, within five years, from Housekeeping to be the Managing Director of a company that was raising funds for well-deserving charities. Author of the bestselling book "A Truth About…" and a successful Life-balance Coach, specializing in subconscious programming as a Psych-K practitioner, Cécile is an expert at getting deep into the core of an issue, understanding it in its essence, and helping her clients reframe their beliefs to transcend beyond any limiting beliefs holding them back.
