This is what God spoke through the prophet Isaiah: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:18-19). God is asking us, “Do you recognize the new thing I’m doing in your life?” He is saying, “Don’t wait to have faith when the situation takes care of itself because I’m doing some new things right now. Look for it! Watch and see what I will do. It is a new thing!”Don’t focus so much on an area of your life that needs to change or on something you want to happen. Moses prayed this important prayer: “Teach us to number our days, that we can gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). I can hear the cry of his heart, “God, teach me and show me how to order and prioritize my day.” Remember that Moses was God’s man to lead all the Israelites toward the Promised Land, perhaps two million people. He was responsible to know how to get to the right places and find the answers to their problems. He had to hear from God for them. Perhaps you feel a little bit like Moses. Everybody’s asking you for things, and you need to fix all the problems, bring in the finances, and care for them. You feel overwhelmed. You need to pray Moses’ prayer: “God, teach me to order my day. Your family or your past does not define you! You don’t have to be the most qualified, the most experienced, or come from the most influential family for God to bless you and take you higher. You may feel like you have some disadvantages that you were born into, but God is choosing you to start a generational blessing! Ephesians 1:5 tells us that God has adopted us into His own family. Because you’ve been adopted, you’re going to come into blessings that you didn’t deserve and favor that you didn’t work for. You can let go of the limits today! It’s time to step into the family of God and be covered in His favor, goodness and power. There’s no mess you’ve made that He can’t help you clean up. In Jesus, you are made right with God. There is nothing that God cannot do for you through Jesus Christ. There’s nothing on the inside of you that would make you distant from God. He loves you just the way you are! Whatever you’re facing today, God wants you to know: “I’m right here.
