This Feels Criminal: A True Crime Podcast (Formerly Killer Queens)
This Feels Criminal | Formerly Killer Queens | Daylight Media
There’s always more to the story. We grew up on Dateline, survived the era of AOL chatrooms, and now we’re asking the deeper, more difficult questions. Formerly known as Killer Queens, Tyrella and Nikita return with This Feels Criminal—a thoughtful evolution of the true crime conversation for an audience that’s grown up right alongside us.
The Perspective
After eight years and hundreds of cases, Tyrella has undergone a total deconstruction of the genre. Moving from the "if they confessed, they’re guilty" mindset to a deep understanding of systemic failures, her goal is to turn listeners into savvy jurors who know how to look past the surface. She is joined by Nikita, a practicing attorney who provides the legal literacy and technical breakdown needed to navigate the complexities of the justice system.
The Vibe
Think of us as your smart, slightly sarcastic filters for the chaos of all that feels criminal. We aren’t here for the shock value or the sensationalism; we’re here for the nuance. We dive deep into media framing, legal hurdles, and the psychology behind the headlines—all while maintaining an emotionally safe space and that signature dry millennial humor.
What’s In The Feed
From weekly flagship cases and trial analysis to documentary deep-dives, TFC is a home for the intellectually curious. We believe in education over exploitation and context over clickbait. It’s a research-driven, human-centered look at the stories that feel just a little too criminal to ignore.

350: The Murder of Josh Niles and Amber Washburn
A former police chief orchestrates the cold-blooded murder of his wife's ex and his new girlfriend in a twisted custody battle that rocked a small New York town. When Josh Niles and Amber Washburn were gunned down in their driveway, no one suspected the mastermind was Tim Dean - an ex-police chief who crossed state lines to commit murder at his wife's behest. This chilling true crime case reveals how a custody dispute spiraled into deadly violence when Charlene Childers lost her children due to her new husband's abuse allegations. Despite her tearful appearances at vigils and funerals, Charlene had orchestrated the entire plot, manipulating her police chief husband to eliminate her custody problem permanently.Watch as investigators unravel an inept murder conspiracy involving rental cars, crossed jurisdictions, and a trail of evidence that led straight back to a former top cop who should have known better. This shocking story proves that sometimes the most dangerous criminals are the ones sworn to uphold the law.Want access to our first 45 episodes? Grab em here! In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 29th, 2005, shots rang out from the Shaker Farm in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Nikki Vagades received a call from her 15-year-old step sister, begging for help. When Nikki arrived at the farmhouse, she immediately called 911. Detectives arrived to find six people on the property, all dead from gunshot wounds. Stacy Moody, the youngest child that lived in the house, was barely alive. Just a few hours later, the Logan County Sheriff had closed the case, ruling it a murder-suicide. Despite his certainty, MANY people continue to question whether this massacre was a planned cover-up, possibly by law enforcement.TRIGGER WARNINGS: sexual assault of a minorWant access to our first 45 episodes?
