Huw joined Ark in November 2012 as Chief Executive to lead a new Management Team following the recapitalisation of the company. He has held key roles at a number of organisations, including President, BT Global Services and Regional Vice President, HP Defence and Security. Other roles in his extensive career include Chief Executive of the Atlas Consortium. A qualified lawyer, Huw also worked for the Asia Foundation, formulating and driving national reform programmes in Cambodia, as well as advising the United Nations on their efforts in Central Asia. Mark Fleiner is currently the President of Malvern Panalytical (A Spectris plc Company) which designs, develops, manufactures, and sells analytical instruments and services used in multiple end-markets to analyze and characterize materials used in medicines, foods, building materials, and natural resources. The business is headquartered in Europe with significant global operations and people resources in all three regions.Mark’s career originated in sales and marketing with GE Energy starting more than 30 years ago. Throughout his career he has worked for large and small companies providing the opportunity to develop as a business leader with experience in energy technologies, chemicals, private equity, and now analytical instrumentation.  Mark was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and grew up a competitive athlete playing all of the team sports. Mr. Fleiner earned his bachelor’s degree of science from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He has been happily married for over 30 years and has two daughters.  #InspiringLeadership #leadership #CEO #MotivationalSpeaker #teamcoach #InclusiveLeadership #Boards  Hosted on Acast. Barbara Cox is a highly regarded nutritionist, author and businesswoman. She became passionate about the importance of eating healthily during a ten-year stay in Japan, a country renowned for its low levels of obesity, cancer and heart disease.On her return to the UK, Barbara founded Nutrichef, a company that produces high quality healthy meals and delivers them to customers’ homes. Through her consultations with customers globally, Barbara advises people with a range of concerns, including people wishing to lose weight, athletes training for sports events or CEO’s who want to fuel for success and also people who simply want to know what it means to eat healthily.  In 2009 Barbara was awarded the National Title of Entrepreneur of the Year by the British Chambers of Commerce. She is a former Canadian national junior skating champion, a contributor to the book Fit for Motorsport, Kitchen Table Tycoon and the nutrition chapters in Teach yourself Aromatherapy. In March 2015, Barbara sold Nutrichef in a 2 year buy out and then launched Rainbow Recipes cookbook and Eat to be Fit cookbook while continuing to educate and inspire on healthy eating and entrepreneurship.  In Barbara’s spare time, she is an Ambassador for the Pan African Heart Foundation and Patron for Cancer Active Charity, and a keen charity fund-raiser who trekked 100 miles across the Sahara Desert for Help for Heroes.  She is now the author of her first certified Wellness Ambassador Course for Corporate Wellness advocates within companies and in Sept 2021, she is launching her 9 book series ReVamp Your Wellness as a month by month template to create a healthy lifestyle and wellness toolbox for everyone to build a robust body, alleviate ailments and have the mental clarity to perform at their very best. Séamus is an experienced leader of global payments, banking & fintech businesses, and has been a keen student of leadership development since the early part of his career. His formative experience was gained at the Automobile Association in financial services, marketing and operations. He then joined the retail finance business of GE Capital, serving on the operating board of the UK business in a senior commercial leadership role. He spent seven years at American Express latterly as Vice President & General Manager Europe, Middle East & Africa. He was Managing Director at PayPoint plc from 2011-2015 and then became CEO of Sage Pay, a payment processing business which was successfully sold to a subsidiary of US Bank in 2020. In his current role as CEO of JDX Consulting which he assumed in September 2020, he leads a specialist global consulting business focussed on solutions for investment banks, financial market infrastructure and technology enablement.  In parallel with his professional career, Séamus served for 13 years in the UK Army Reserves as an infantry officer, rising to the rank of Major. He holds a MBA from Henley Management College and in 2018, was named in the Financial Times ‘Top 50 global male champions of women in business’ listing. He was a Trustee and Treasurer at Windsor Leadership, a leadership development organisation between 2012-2018. He has supported a number of charities via a series of challenges including running the ‘Two Oceans’ ultramarathon in South Africa for the City of London Lord Mayors Appeal, climbing Mont Blanc in 2012 for Help for Heroes and mountain biking from Vietnam to Cambodia for Mines Awareness Group in 2015. In his spare time he enjoys running, tennis, most mountain activities and playing the guitar. Julie Baker is an experienced business leader and a senior figure in the hospitality industry. Since joining Hilton as Vice President for Operations in the UK & Ireland in 2018, Julie has been at the helm of more than 50 Hilton hotels across the region. Julie’s career has been wide reaching - starting in marketing with Unilever in 1989, then holding a variety of FMCG senior management and international roles at Sara Lee, and latterly a MD-level position at Capita, a FTSE 250 business services company. Julie has overcome several challenges as a leader, most recently successfully leading 53 hotels through the pandemic. Running a nationwide hotel operation during unprecedented times has required her to act quickly and decisively to not only mitigate against commercial impact, but also keep morale high for the talented teams she works with. Julie has been responsible for thousands of Hilton Team Members, whilst anticipating the evolving landscape her teams operate in, from last-minute changes to restrictions, to closures and re-openings and changing legislation. Paul Denman has had long career in private banking and wealth management based throughout this time in the City of London. Paul has a very in depth knowledge of the private client world having had long stints at Coutts, Hambros and Arbuthnot Latham before joining Close Brothers Asset Management in 2019. His roles have always had a people focus and have often involved working with different generations of families and helping them manage their financial universe. He is also well known in the world of historic motor racing having joined his passion for classic cars with his professional life and is often seen in the paddock at many events across the UK and mainland Europe. He is just as absorbed by the people involved in this sector as he is the cars themselves. Paul is a freeman of the City of London and is a member of two City livery companies. In his spare time he is also a director of a charity in Tunbridge Wells, Kent which supports numerous charitable causes in the local vicinity. Peter has been CEO at the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children since 2013. Under his leadership, through challenging financial and operational times for an organisation that relies overwhelmingly on voluntary donations, the NSPCC has played a central role in efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect. Impact is achieved by operating and drawing on innovative services including Childline, through advice and support for families, and through its campaigning work, most recently around designing child protection into the online world where young lives are increasingly spent.   Peter was previously CEO at the Big Lottery Fund, distributing hundreds of millions of pounds to charities and community groups. Prior to that, he had a distinguished Civil Service career at the Departments for Education, Employment and the Treasury, working closely with Ministers from across the political spectrum. Peter is a trustee at the 5Rights Foundation, is on the steering group for the Government’s National Leadership Centre and is a committee member at Somerset County Cricket Club. He attributes his strong sense of moral purpose to his mother and love of cricket to his father. He received a knighthood for services to children and charity in the 2021New Year’s Honours List His leadership tip - you are always on display and can bring energy to any situation.
