Building a Business Around Your Life with Dave Anderson
Today we have a special guest, a repeat guest actually. Dave Anderson is the owner of a creative video production company. In this episode we talk a lot about his journey and what it took to get where he is. Family is what drives us, no doubt, but we tend to forget that very easily amidst the work duties. Dave and I both share proud moments when we learned to detach from our businesses, but also we talk about vulnerable times when we almost ran ourselves to the ground thinking that we were doing the right thing for our families. Spoiler alert, we weren't Show Notes: www.thedadedge.com/friday35

Building Mental Toughness for Families w/ Joe De Sena
My guest today is Joe De Sena. Joe was one of my first guests when I first started this episode 6 years ago. If you are a Spartan Racer, you might know Joe. He is the CEO of Spartan Race. The basis of his company is the foundation that we as humans cannot reach our potential until we have gone through a struggle or a test. It's what he calls, purposeful suffering. Coming from a childhood where he had nowhere to learn, only his own, and had to figure out how to make it. Joe believes his success came from his purposeful suffering philosophy. This is one of my favorite episodes, no doubt. Joe shares about "Mental Toughness for Families - 10 Rules for Resilience", his new book and we talk about some of those rules on this episode. Choosing The Life We Lead w/ Craig Risoli
Craig Risoli is a good friend and Dad Edge Accelerator business matermind member. He is a husband of 10 years to Hailey, father of 3, veteran and the proud owner of High Speed Daddy, an epic backpack for dads company. He built his company around his family schedule as a stay at home dad, not the other way around. A lot of men choose to let life manage them. That is unfortunate, because that stresses and burns them out. Today we will be talking about taking initiative, making decisions and stop letting things hold us up and learn along the way. Many of us are stopped by analysis paralysis. Craig is an engineer, so I ask him all things about making decisions. Show Notes: http://www.thedadedge.com/friday34

Working Through Conflict with People We Care for the Most with Jayson Gaddis
When it comes to conflict, do you find yourself frustrated or lost? Relationships is not something that we are taught. We grow up and we are taught different skills, trigonometry, social studies, but rarely how to resolve conflict. And it's really unfortunate because think of what our marriages and relationships could look like if we knew how to resolve conflict and how we could actually do it from an objective standpoint to where when we try to resolve conflict just normally in day to day. My guest today, Jayson Gaddis, a licensed family therapist knows exactly how to do it. He wrote a book, How To Get to Zero and we talk about conflict resolution with those we love the most. It's a deep episode, so I encourage you to take notes. Show Notes:www.thedadedge.com/352
