We CAN Have It All with John Goad
If you are a busy career guy, our time is very limited due to long hours at work. What normally happens is that we pour a lot of time, energy and our bandwidth into the business, our teams because we are trying to create an empire. We want to create these empires because we can to provide for our family and give them maybe the life we didn't have or simply because our work makes us come alive. What usually happens is that our relationships take a backseat. I am here to tell you that it does not have to be that way. John Goad, this episode's guest, is a 30 year marriage veteran. I met him in Colorado as part of an in-person mastermind retreat that we host as part of our Dad Edge Business Accelerator. He has 2 grown kids and I am excited to talk to him because if there is anyone we can learn from, it is the men who have more experience than we do. Show Notes:www.thedadedge.com/friday64

Imagine you woke up tomorrow and your life was completely different and totally altered from what it was yesterday. Suddenly, somehow, some way, you have a stroke and your entire left side of your body is paralyzed and life as you know it, may never be the same, you might not even live. This is part of what I talked to my guest, Mark Ewing, today. Mark Ewing owns a couple of successful businesses, is a husband with two kids and 2020, along with the challenges that it brought for most of us, had a little extra for him, when he was in his early forties and he woke up in the middle of the night with a full-blown stroke. Fortunately, Mark has made a full recovery. Mark's story brought me to my knees and it makes me think that we cannot take for granted the blessings we have today in our lives.
