Angela McKilop, Business coach and director of We Love Your Projects, joins us on this weeks instalment of Taylor Talks Trades. During the build process they both realised there was a gap in the market for reliable and multi-skilled trades people. Angela shares with us her experience as a woman in the construction industry, the tribulations of a failed business and how she bounced back and launched her coaching business.

Graeme Millar is Jamie's guest on the latest episode of Taylor Talks Trades and it was fantastic to get his perspective on the skills shortage and lack of apprentices in the the roofing industry. Graeme has more knowledge of the industry in his little finger than most, which has all come from his experience as Managing Director and Partner of Bain & Irvine Ltd Roofing, Fellow and Governor of The Institute of Roofing, Chairman of the Scottish Region of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, President of the N.F.R.C. And the President of the International Federation of The The Roofing Trade, That's some list! Graeme followed his brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather before him into the family business that had been running since the 1860s! It's rare to find true family businesses like this in the industry today and it was really fascinating to hear about Graeme's experiences from over 50 years in the industry!

Jamie's guest for this episode is Aman Chahal, the CEO of TaperedPlus. TaperedPlus has an annual turnover of more than £10 million, but it's been far from an easy journey to get to where it is today! Risks have had to be taken, difficult decisions made, and a lot of fresh ideas conjured up to take the business forward. It was great to hear Aman's insights into the world of business and how he's used strategy, culture and a focus on people to get to where he is today - not to mention a great chat on the implications artificial intelligence has for the future of the industry!
