Filmmaker and surfer Greg MacGillivray joins the pod to talk about his influential surf film Five Summer Stories, his new memoir Five Hundred Summer Stories, and a lifetime in surfing. First, he looks back at the early days of surfing, the joy and escape that it provides, the introduction of competitive surfing, and his personal beginnings in the sport in Southern California.
