Episode 122 🇺🇸🇺🇸 HOW AMERICANS ELECT THEIR PRESIDENT | ENGLISH LESSON WITH REAL ENGLISH TEACHER
In this English lesson, I explain how American vote for a United States presidents. It is pretty complicated because we don't directly elect our president. There is something in between the votes and the president, and that's called the electoral college. Large states like California have many electoral college votes, 55. Small states like mine only have four, but the popular vote really doesn't matter. Hillary Clinton actually got more votes in 2016, but Donald Trump because president because he won the electoral college votes. I also talk about how blue states are Democratic states and how red states are Republican states.

EPISODE 119 🙇 WHAT AMERICANS REALLY MEAN WHEN WE SAY “SORRY” | ENGLISH LESSON IN SLOW ENGLISH
I'm sorry. I was not on a trail in New Hampshire when I made this video. I was at my house. 😀
Americans say "sorry" all the time. In this slow English lesson, I explain some of the reasons Americans might say "sorry" and there are some reasons you might not realize. We don't just say "sorry" in English when something is our fault, we also say "sorry" when we hope things will get better for you, like, if you are going through a difficult time. I hope you learn a little something from this English lesson in slow, clear English.

EPISODE 118 DO AMERICANS CELEBRATE COLUMBUS DAY OR INDIGENOUS PEOPLES' DAY? | ENGLISH LESSON
In this English lesson, I explain how Americans celebrate Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples’ Day. In recent years, the name of this three day weekend or long weekend has become pretty controversial. Some Americans believe that Christopher Columbus is a great man of history and should be celebrated. Other Americans believe that the people who were here before Christopher Columbus “discovered America” or arrived in America should be the ones remembered or celebrated during this second weekend in October. Some English vocabulary words I explain are: “air quotes,” indigenous, long weekend, three day weekend, and British holiday vs, American holiday. I would love to hear your comments about what you think this weekend should be called in the United States.

LEARN ENGLISH PHRASES WITH “CURVE”. Yasen from Iraqi Kurdistan asked a great question about "flattening the curve" and "life throwing a curveball."
A huge shoutout to all the members. I was able to buy a new GoPro. I shot the video on it, but need to work out some of the color settings. A few parts of the video were darker than I like, but other than that it was pretty fun to use.
