Sally McRae on Winning Moab 240 and Lessons from the Grand Slam of 200’s
Known as one of the most inspiring runners in the ultra scene, Sally McRae capped off her incredible journey of completing four 200 mile races in one year with a win at the Moab 240.
Not only did she win Moab, she also won the Grand Slam of 200’s and the Triple Crown of 200’s this year, all within her very first year of doing 200+ mile races.
But it didn’t come easy; Sally battled obstacle after obstacle throughout each race. And despite all that, she still chose strong, dug deep, and pushed hard in every race to achieve her biggest dream.
In this episode, Sally shares her biggest lessons from Moab and the Grand Slam, wild stories from both Bigfoot and Moab, and her biggest piece of advice for runners who are looking to complete any endurance challenge.
Sally is professional trail runner for Nike, BPN, Camelbak, Leki, and COROS. She is also the author of the book “Choose Strong” and host of the “Choose Strong Podcast”, which is meant to inspire people to choose strength over fear in any situation in life. She is also a mother of two on top of it all!
We are also joined by my good friend, Leo Fung, who was crew chief at Bigfoot 200 for Sally, and also on the crew team at Moab 240. Leo is one of a kind and an all around great dude, so it was so amazing to have him on the show.
Huge thank you to Sally and Leo for coming on the show!

As a fitness content creator and mental health advocate, I was intrigued to chat with Dom and hear all of his insights, including how to avoid burnout and principles for living a healthy life - both mentally and physically.
