The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. These Christmas classics introduced the world to an industrious kid who had to do deal with neglectful parents and possibly immortal thieves who can survive pretty much anything. In this podcast, you will hear us talk about improvised tarantula theatrics, home renovation costs and the alternate dimension that these movies take place in. We were very lucky to have Jay Cluitt of Life Vs. Film and The Lambcast join us for this episode. The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about a post-apocalyptic dragon movie that we love. Reign of Fire is the most grounded dragon movie ever made (we think), and stars A-listers Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey and Gerard Butler. What we love about this movie is how it features a tattooed Matthew McConaughey driving around England in an attempt to kill dragons, while Christian Bale takes everything seriously (which we love). The movie looks brilliant, has solid CGI and features the longest jump in the history of cinema. If you are a fan of the movie you need to listen to this podcast.

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we are talking about one of the darkest superhero movies ever made. Tim Burton's Batman Returns was a financial success in 1992, but its dark themes and lack of Batman turned many people off and left them never wanting to eat fish ever again (The Penguin eating fish = horrible). We love this movie and the all-in performances from Michelle Pfeiffer and Danny DeVito never get old. In this podcast, you will hear us talk about the muddled production process, Keaton cutting his lines and Christopher Walken saying the word "Bauble."

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we’re talking about the 1987 post-apocalyptic movie Steel Dawn. It is a really weird little thing that surrounds Patrick Swayze with lots of sands, aluminum swords and very slow moving vehicles. Steel Dawn is basically a ripoff of Mad Max, Shane and every other movie that might be somewhat similar (and we love that fact). It is an unpretentious flick that was released by Vestron Video (remember them!?) and is meant to be nothing more than a cheeky exercise in low budget film making. In this podcast, you will hear us talk about Hulk Hogan lookalikes, weird sand creatures and Patrick Swayze doing everything with a sword except for actually sword fighting. You will love it!

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we’re finishing up our Resident Evil podcast series with Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. We've loved talking about the Resident Evil franchise and if you haven't listened to the other podcasts, you need to do it now. Director Paul W.S. Anderson and star/producer Milla Jovovich worked on the RE series for 15 years and we love how it all kinda makes sense. The series never became stagnant because each installment has its own personality, and took us to locations all over the world which allowed Alice to fight birds, slow zombies, fast zombies and squishy slow-moving creatures (Apocalypse is not good). In this podcast, you will hear us talk about zombie water, horrible battle plans and Alice always getting trapped. You will love it!

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we’re talking about the 2018 iteration of Halloween. It's already a box office smash ($200 million worldwide and counting) and if Jamie Lee Curtis and David Gordon Green come back for a sequel they can expect truck loads of cash to be dumped at their homes. We're fans of this movie and felt it was necessary to bring back Adam Clement who joined us on our Jerky Antics of Michael Myers podcast that was released a few weeks ago. In this podcast, expect to hear about fancy sandwiches, terrible hunting techniques and Pauly Shore.

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we’re talking about two movies that feature ambitious camerawork, committed performances, and an island that may or may not barf blood (yep..it's weird). Bad Times at the El Royale and The Apostle are the products of two fantastic directors (Drew Goddard, Gareth Evans) who knew exactly what they wanted (to create a quality film) and stopped at nothing to achieve their vision. Both movies feature jaw-dropping moments involving 5-minute steadicam shots, drilled craniums and devious cults. We love these movies so we did a ton of research in order to drop a whole lot of knowledge on you. The movie hasn't aged and we love how it puts modern movies to shame with its beautiful CGI, practical effects, and thrilling set pieces. Director Steven Spielberg is a mad genius who channeled his inner-child while making Jurassic Park and the end result influenced young filmmakers and set the course for many subpar sequels. In this episode, you will hear us talk about buying dinosaurs on the black market, kitchen fights and uneaten Chilean sea bass.

The #1 ranked podcast on Ranker’s “Best Movie Podcast” list is back! This week we’re talking about the underrated action spectacle The 13th Warrior, which has aged really well due to its practical effects and on-location shooting in the harshest terrains British Columbia could offer. The 13th Warrior is mostly known for the production troubles, massive budget ($180 million inflated) and underwhelming box office numbers that made it a financial disaster. Director John McTiernan (Predator, Die Hard) and writer/producer Michael Crichton had different visions for the film and it resulted in massive reshoots, copious editing and a final cut that both were unhappy with. However, we love the movie because of its massive battles, breathtaking locations and underappreciated performances. If you love The 13th Warrior you will love this podcast.
