31) Is it time for a Tactical Break from Alcohol with Andy Ramage
Is it time to take a Tactical Break from Alcohol?
Today’s conversation is with Andy Ramage a former professional athlete, who following an injury, went on to co-create two multimillion-dollar city brokerages. But after achieving traditional “success” Andy was left feeling broken. He was unfit, unhealthy, overweight, stressed and unhappy. The elephant in the room preventing peak performance in all aspects of life was alcohol
This is a concept for Middle lane drinkers, which is a definition we explore rather than the two polar opposites seen as having either a drink problem or being “teetotal”
We provide a way to re-examine your own relationship with alcohol, explore the benefits of taking a break, how you use physical and subjective data to measure the impact, as well strategies to “transition” away from the habitual drinking society can force us into
Andy and I look at the regular challenges we face when you want to drink less, sharing examples from our lives and how we can overcome this
Lastly, we explore resources that are available to support anyone looking to take a break and explore the benefits of being alcohol free on their health, mindset, relationships and fitness
What is your relationship with alcohol? Could you be more of an office athlete with a break?
