Voices of Discrimination, Part One
We will be hosting a series of live events to draw attention to discrimination in Craft Beer. These events will include a spoken word reading of anonymous experiences followed by a speaker who will share actionable steps we can take.
While uncomfortable and difficult, these conversations are critical for moving in a positive direction.
Following a reading of anonymous experiences from your peers, Lauren Taylor of Safe Bars will speak on ways to make our industry less discriminatory.
Safe Bars uses innovative bystander education and empowerment self-defense strategies to empower bar, restaurant, and club staff to stand up against sexual harassment and assault, ultimately changing nightlife culture. We've trained 40 establishments in DC. We also train people to start Safe Bars programs where they live, and have more than 25 Safe Bars-trained teams in cities and towns around the U.S. and Canada.

Things We Don't Say IPA: Craft Beer for Mental Health
www.ThingsWeDontSay.beer
The THINGS WE DON’T SAY IPA project was created to help shift how we approach mental health by encouraging people to talk about their experiences and feelings, both good and bad, and to demonstrate the importance of asking for help when we need it.
THINGS WE DON’T SAY IPA is a call to empower breweries from around the globe to use their platforms to stand up for those who suffer in silence with their mental health, be it with anxiety, depression, or other mental illness.
Named after Hope For The Day’s flagship mental health education curriculum, THINGS WE DON’T SAY IPA is a 6% IPA being released in May 2021, in conjunction with Hope For The Day’s Shake The Stigma awareness campaign for Mental Health Month 2021.

CBP Stories - Rekindled Relationship to Destination Brewery with Abraham & Paul Lorrain (Funky Bow Brewery & Beer Company)
CBP Stories showcase individual members who have an inspiring story to tell.
Abraham, and his father, Paul, didn't talk for seven years. Why? They still don't know.
A letter and an home-brew kit ignited a reconnection, and next thing you know, they're brewing test batches together in a garage.
Fast forward, and they open a beautiful brewery in Maine and have now been in operation for over 7 years.
Did we mention it has fire pits, disc golf, and even ice skating?
We will dive into how this Northern Paradise came be Funky Bow Brewery & Beer Company and how a rekindled relationship transformed into a destination brewery.
