The Whole Truth
In March 1983, 17-year-old Bruce Lisker discovered his mother, Dorka Lisker, beaten severely and stabbed in her Sherman Oaks home. Bruce was arrested and sentenced to 16 years to life. Over the next two decades, he fought to overturn his conviction. With the help private investigator, Paul Ingels, and former LAPD sergeant, Jim Gavin, they discovered that the evidence against Bruce had apparently been fabricated. “48 Hours" correspondent Erin Moriarty reports. After missing a dinner date with her father, he received a call from police saying his daughter’s car was found abandoned on a ranch, 40 miles from their home. Four days later Mackenzie was found dead along the banks of the Columbia River.
