CRB Check These Rappers Ft. Shower Malik
You asked for it, so the 1.9.9.2 Boys made it happen. The return of Shower Malik. There are always whispers going around whether or not this or that rapper is really about the life they are talking about in their lyrics. From rented cars and clothes to borrowed jewellery and video vixens, not everyone is really about what they are portraying in the videos and lyrics. With so many Instagram accounts promoting the luxurious life of rappers, younger generations are easily and heavily influenced to buy a brick. Everything has been blown way out of proportion and rappers are looking to do or say the next best thing to take propel them to the top, although a lot of rappers claim they don't even want to 'make it'. That they are happy on the block with the homies. But as soon a record deal is put on the table they are making a 720 second long Snapchat story and uploading them to Instagram one by one, just damaging their monthly data allowance.Anyway back to the point, if we were to run a CRB check on these rappers would they really live up to expectation? Message to the younger generation, don't believe everything you see and Instagram. Shower Malik gives his perspective on the state of the music industry, how he has managed to keep it real for so long and experiencing a different type of training & being one of the toughest light-skin utes to move how he moved in Peckham. We also get some information on the Brixton vs Peckham beef and reminisce on the Norte Dame vs St Saviours girl school beef which backed up traffic for miles in South London. If you didn't already know Shower Malik is a real character, pay real close attention to the jokes he's dropping. Courtesy of Wray & Nephews the conversation gets flowing ASAP.You Can follow Shower Malik on the following platforms:Twitter - @Shower_MInstagram - Shower_MalikAnd dont forget to check out his music and latest mixtape B.O.B with Trims Hosted on Acast. No One Wins When The Culture Feuds Ft. Nissy Tee & Sia
Why do we have such an issue with people dating outside of their race?
Some say they can’t see colour, that's totally down to you… but you can definitely see culture!!! That shit is damn near in the air, and if you have been to some peoples houses, you will know you can even smell it.
Whats worse dating outside of your race, or outside of your culture?
Leave me alone Becky
Whats better than one cast member from BKChat, two? The 1.9.9.2 BOYS on another episode with the lovely and beautiful Nissy & Sia from BKChat. We all love the show so why not bring them to a foreign land where they can see how the 90s babies get down.
We discuss a lot of things in this episode, so ensure to pay attention to the jokes & Jewels. As usual, considering we got some smart and banterful people in the studio (banterful is not a word but fuck it). We do some deep dives into the up and coming Black Panther film which there has been a lot of talk of with its ticket sales record in marvel and Michael B Jordans girlfriend. Should we date outside of culture? because culture is taught so its not always a race issue? Some people find it hard dating out of their race but is this just a culture issue?
We got the tools to do great things. we can't allow another culture or race overshadow or hold back our own. Be you and be great.
Leave me alone Becky
We also do some more digging into stop and search and Dave's recent tweets about bringing it back. Do you agree? Temi mentions some results from David Lammy’s study into stop and search and the idea of deferred prosecution. Should this be a thing? Listen in if you are unfamiliar with the concept.
Being the virtuous women Nissy & Sia are, we of course got some great points and stories to consider… we also spoke of weave and why girls wear it… the lads question whether you can really love your culture if you wear another races hair? To which the girls had an interesting and educating answer. Let us know what you think.
So much going on in the UK we cannot cover it all but we will apply that 90s baby ideology to everything we do ;)

Meghan Markle Better Get Pregnant ASAP Ft. Mariah Idrissi & Nylah
This week the 1.9.9.2 Boys are joined by the first Hijab model Mariah Idrissi and upcoming artists Nylah to talk about the engagement of Meghan Markle to Prince Harry.Rumours have sparked that the engagement was planned even before the kids were more as Meghan's father has some sort of links to the Royal Family. However as usual Fred is having none of the conspiracy theories and suggest Meghan should look to get pregnant ASAP before theres even a chance for things to go south.Temi feels like Barack Obama, Meghan does not do enough for the black community. However as a mixed race women does she have to?The questions of why are lighties the acceptable face of Black follows on from our conversation with the Hashtag Lightie cast. Is Meghan's engagement a win for Black people as a whole, can we claim her.... even though she's getting married to a white man?We also discuss the issues currently happening in Libya with slavery and how we feel governments are ignoring the desperate cries for help. It has been left to us to clan together and raise awareness as well as call for a protest outside of the Libyan embassy. You can follow our guests hereMariah Idrissi - mariahidrissiNylah - nylaysworld_You can also buy tickets to the 'A Night With...' event we will be hosting here:https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-night-with-tickets-39797835397 Hosted on Acast. Bootcuts & Custody Ft. RD
Some people are blessed with a pull out game and some are blessed with kids... Its all about perspective, but there are blessings both sides of this sword .To be fair we are getting to that age where having kids is the norm if we haven't already. Hopefully we will be responsible when we decide to have them! But a long time ago it was all about the pull out game and being a bit irresponsible with sex and our own sexual health. If she is on the pill we are in there with no condom, and if she isnt, we are in there with no condom and gambling with 2 lives (potentially 3 if she gets pregnant)The lads are joined by good friend RD who grew up in the same area and is a model father of 3 Boys (avoided the players curse). His pull out game is non existent but he has had 3 blessings due to this, so why start pulling out now right? More blessings upon blessings for RD.We dive in to deep conversations about custody, raising children and father-son relationships, as RD hasn't had any dialogue with his father, and Fred's dad hasn't been in the picture since his early teens. Of course we discuss some of the scandals like Jennifer Hudson cheating on her fiancé with a gospel artist. But most importantly, we have a brother in the studio who started having kids at 19, had 3 since, has custody of them all, and is a great role model. Bar the jokes and the banter, this is somebody to be appreciated and replicated as we need to hear more of these men in all communities - especially black!Lets celebrate the good fathers and raise a generation of greater ones! Lets Go Dutch On A Parking Fine Ft. Lauryn Marshall
Imagine you are on a first date with somebody. Your date reassures you that it is ok to park somewhere; but you meet a ticket on your windshield when you come out of your lovely date.... Who should pay for it??? Your date because he suggested it? You because its your car and you are an adult? Or is it finally cool to go DUTCH!??The 1.9.9.2 BOYS are back with an episode and joined by Friend and actor Lauryn Marshall to discuss some dilemmas that have been sent in. The conversation leads into different areas due to the 2 dilemmas discussed. 1. Should somebody pay your parking ticket if they told you to park somewhere on a date2. Should you cancel the guy if he makes excuses to go on a date ut goes out that night?May seem obvious but with different perspectives in the room and the banter rolling its always an interesting conversation. For Richer Or For Richer Ft. Team Swoduel
Been a long time since the Lads spoke marriage. Thought its best to get some experts in. The 1.9.9.2 BOYS are joined by Team Swoduel (Swodei & Emmanuel Jones) to discuss the great thing we call Marriage in society; Lovely vows to the nitty Gritty things that each other can’t stand!most people have a create a partner function in their head - which dodges all possibilities of reality in most cases. We sit with a couple that has been married for 2+ Years and going strong! As they are on Social Media they give an interesting take on foundations and why they approach the internet differently from usual ‘Social Media Couples’. They work off their foundation built before the camera…We delve in to the Terroll and Nakita situation; everybody gives their objective opinion respectfully which causes a lot more questions to be asked and answered about the situation At the end of the day we all want marriage (Or do we?) and we all want that perfect person… NEWS FLASH…. No such thing as a perfect person but who are you willing to tolerate… Who’s L’s and W’s are you looking to join in on? Who do you really want to be with for the rest of your life? Hard questions but on the route to it… LETS HAVE SOME FUN Keep a look out for Team Swoduel on Youtube and Social medias - Fantastic channel about relationships and married lifestyle. Recognize My Culture Ft. Amarachi Nwosu
Not everyday London, Sometimes America, or Japan, or Nigeria.... you know what sometimes Amarachi Nwosu. The lads meet with this nomadic young lady who has been a Globetrotter for a few years of her life. We have a innocent conversation about a few topics going on in the world and different cultures we have experienced through holidays and living in. Quick Question, Can you change a negative narrative into a positive narrative? For example is 'NIGGA' positive enough to stay... OR...What about 'SLUT' this word tends to be thrown about a lot. We are witnessing the changing of narratives of a few words but should they just be stopped all together? are we perpetuating the negative origins or can they be cleaned with context?A playful conversation nonetheless and some interesting points raised; with some motivation in the mix. Have a think of some of these things... Should we stop Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Millions On My Mind Ft. Charles Gordon
Story of our life right"They say this is a big rich town.... YEAHHHH, i just come from the POOREST PARRTTTTT!!!!!" London is definitely a big rich town with loads of money in it; whether that be dirty or clean. The places that herald success probably host all of the white collar crime (**COUGH Canary Wharf COUGH**)But in these so called slums are diamonds like us. raised a certain way and just want to change our lives with that thing we call money. This week the 1992 BOYS sit down with entrepreneur Charles Gordon to talk about that property ladder that seems so unclimbable. Charles says its climbable and hes a credible source, but its hard to listen to somebody talk about the ease of something when he got a new drop top Bentley Continental outside lol. Or maybe its best to listen and take note? The Lads have a good time and dont hold back any banter as always but, this being similar to Guns and Butter.... When you bring in an OG who knows more, you let them talk and its nothing but Jewels and Jokes.Laugh and Learn with this one Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Guns & Butter Ft. Mr Oshodi
The 1.9.9.2 Boys have invited another 80s baby down to the studio to chop it up.This time the conversation is a little more serious and motivational. The culturally popular Mr Oshodi has come to bless the boys with his, wisdom, knowledge and personal experiences. As usual, the episode begins with a song to raise the mood in the studio, we also have a few dilemmas and random questions for Mr Oshodi. But ultimately we want to discover what is was like to be an 80s baby, and what pushed him to go down the roads he has gone down in life, From the 'Butter' - things that depreciate after you buy them to 'Guns' the thing that appreciate with time. We talk being raised by a single parent and how that has impacted his childhood and how he has chosen to raise his child. There is nothing better than to hear someone speaking from experience. So the boys weigh in where they can but also soak up a lot of the messages Mr Oshodi is providing them. This episode can inspire anyone. Ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing - What is your WHY?. Is there passion and drive in what you are doing, if you stop doing it, will you stop being who you really are?P.S - The 1.9.9.2 BOYS are not aluding to investing in actual GUNS, this is just a metaphor from the classic film Baby Boy ;)You can keep up to date with what Mr Oshodi is doing via his Instagram: mr_oshodi or twitter: @Mr_Oshodi Hosted on Acast.
