Where Did Church Go Wrong? w/Gaz Kishere

An interview with my dad Gaz Kishere, a former minister who was involved in the church for 15 years and has since undergone a journey of deconstruction. Today he works professionally as a counsellor, helping others find continued journey and spiritual relationship beyond church. He’s worked for the last 8 years supporting counter-trafficking and refugee projects in Athens Greece, as well as counselling burnt-out humanitarian workers. We explore church’s relationship to rescuer culture and outreach. The 1990’s Toronto awakening. The relationship of the church to disruption and dynamic change. Church leadership as ‘always having an answer’. Church as creating a ‘safe space’ of arrival, rather than journey into unknowing. The unknown as the place where faith lives. Church as self-relating and concerned with perpetuating itself. Contact for Coaching and enquiries at gazkishere(at)gmail.com

Spiritual Warfare w/Ken Lowry & Jordan Bates

What is spiritual warfare and how do we relate to the possibility of malevolent or parasitic energies/entities. What can we do to wage 'spiritual warfare' more effectively; how does spiritual community, cultivation of virtue and having a 'highest' support spiritual warfare. Experiences of spiritual warfare in the plant medicine space. Are dark entities separate or part of God? Distinctions between Christian & Hindu theology of evil. Can we be a vessel for the extension of divine grace to dark/fallen entities? Ken Lowry is an explorer and lover of the Good, the True and the Beautiful. The goal of his channel Climbing Mt Sophia is to share adventures in exploring the Mountain of Wisdom. He has become a key collaborator in Wrestling with Christianity as well as holding ongoing dialogos on the essential virtues with D.C Schindler, Vervaeke and others. @climbingonmt.sophia Jacob Kishere is the creator of 'Culturepilgrim' and host of SENSESPACE. Past/Future Education II: Tim Kubik & O.G Rose

In part 2 we continue exploring: - The ADHD inducing structure of a school day and how it trains our attention away from long form reflection. -The lack of choicemaking given in education and how this affects our creativity as adults. -The impact of 'test and recite' style education on our capacity to really 'read' and it's deeper affect on a crisis of meaning. -How education shapes 'governable subjects' and employees for managerial roles. -Storytelling as ancient, fundamental and participatory form of education O.G. Rose is the pen name of philosopher and writer duo Daniel and Michelle Garner. Daniel recently authored 'Belonging Again pt.1' as part of a larger project diagnosing the breakdown of belonging and the multi-layered decay of the meta-crisis. His work around philosophical community and regular online gatherings offer a new possibility for education beyond the academy.    / @o.g.rose.michelle.and.daniel   Educational facilitator and speaker, Dr. Tim Kubik has worked on a variety of initiatives designed to empower teachers and students to engage with their ever-changing world, including The Asia Society International Studies Schools Network, Buck Institute for Education, and now in partnership at Project ARC. Ep.40 Cadell Last - Dying into Man: Ancestry, Sex & Religion

A conversation worth waiting for with philosopher Cadell Last diving into themes he began developing in a published trialogue 'Sex, Masculinity and God' (2020). We wrestle with the confusion of contemporary landscape as men, delving into the disorientation of radical historical changes in life, sex, work and identity. We further the 'wrestling with christianity' conversation with Cadell's deep reading of the signficance of the cross for men around the initiatory dying into life. How can men’s death and resurrection resolve the culture war? What will christianity be in it’s 3rd millennium? What is the fundamental ‘negativity’ and dissolution at the heart of the feminine?
