01:58 – Peter is commanded to take the gospel to the Gentiles, starting with Cornelius who is a Roman centurion.
14:26 – As Gentiles are brought into the Church, a disagreement arises between Peter and strict followers of the Jewish law.
18:58 – James, the brother of John, is martyred for his belief in Christ. Peter is freed from prison by an angel. We should avoid comparing our trials to other people’s mercies.
23:10 – Christian tradition relates that many of the apostles were martyred.
32:39 – Paul and Barnabas are called to missionary service.
40:28 – The apostles meet at the Jerusalem Conference and conclude that Gentiles can be baptized without circumcision. This meeting shows us how we can council more effectively today.

00:26 – Angels announce that Christ the Lord is risen. John 20 relates that Mary Magdalene is the first witness of the resurrected Savior.
19:22 – Jesus instructs Mary, “Touch me not, for I am not yet ascended to my Father.”
25:43 – Other women also see the resurrected Lord.
27:11 – Peter, the chief apostle and key holder on earth sees Jesus next. After Peter, he appeared to 10 of the remaining 12 apostles. Luke relates that Jesus ate with his apostles after his resurrection. Jesus has a body of flesh and bones.
32:09 – Thomas wasn’t there at first when Jesus came to his apostles. He said, “Except I see in his hands the print of the nails…and thrust my hands into his side, I will not believe.” Later, Thomas sees the Lord and believes. John then states, “Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
35:46 – Jesus meets two of his disciples on the road to Emmaus and expounds the true meaning of the scriptures.
44:31 – The guards at the tomb see angels. Later, these guards are instructed to say that Jesus’ disciples stole away his body while they slept. Many have witnessed of Jesus, including special witnesses of Christ that have been called in our day. The saints are encouraged to continue on the path with hope in Christ.
50:32 – Peter returns to Galilee and begins fishing. Jesus commands his apostles to teach and baptize all nations. He invites Peter and all of us to feed his sheep.

00:26 – The final hours of the Savior’s mortal life.
03:35 – Simon of Cyrene carries Jesus’ cross to Calvary.
06:07 – Jesus is crucified at Golgotha, Calvary, or the place of the skull. The Roman soldiers strike nails into the palms of Jesus’ hands and wrists, then take away his robe that was without seam.
16:59 – Jesus makes seven statements from the cross. These statements can guide us in how we choose to live our lives. He asked his Heavenly Father to forgive those who placed him on the cross saying, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
20:17 – To Mary he said, “Woman, behold thy son!” To the disciple standing with Mary he said, “Behold thy mother!”
22:00 – To the two criminals crucified with him Jesus said, “Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
25:01 – In agony, Jesus proclaimed “I thirst.” Jesus died having finished the bitter cup.
29:43 – It is noteworthy what Jesus did not say when on the cross. He was submissive to the end.
32:03 – Jesus asks his Heavenly Father, “Why hast thou forsaken me?”
36:53 – “It is finished.”
38:21 – “Into thy hands I commend my spirit.”
41:17 – Jesus yields up the ghost, after which the veil in the temple is torn and the earth is rent.
50:53 – The centurion, seeing the earthquake, proclaims “Truly this was the Son of God.” Several powerful women witness and testify of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. The whole earth testifies of Christ at his death on the cross.
55:30 – Jesus’ legs are not broken, and his side is pierced with a spear. To the authors of the gospels, these are types that were in the Hebrew Bible which testified of Jesus Christ.
1:01:26 – Jesus is buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea.
1:07:43 – The chief priests and Pharisees make sure there is a stone sealing the tomb and a watch placed. Sunday will come.

30:17 – Pilate offers to release one prisoner during the Passover. The people vote to release Barabbas the robber instead of Jesus. The Day of Atonement scapegoat ritual can be seen in John’s portrayal of Jesus’ trial.
37:08 – Pilate washes his hands of the crowd’s request to execute Jesus.
40:28 – Jesus is mocked, smitten, spit upon, and scourged.
