How Fixing Money Can Transform Our World, Ep 340 Cody Ellingham

Draw a line from one side of the page to the other, and place a mark somewhere along that spectrum from the far left, where everything’s going to return to normal again soon. Russia will crawl back into their hole, China will scale back it’s tough talk, and the US will learn how to take the lead again. Interest rates will fall and house prices will stabilise. On the right, however, we have full state control of our entire financial system, with everything we do and say linked to our ability to buy and sell. Subject to where you feel the world is going, not where you want it to go, you may wish to invest in a portfolio or strategy that is in line with that mark. Read more here.If you feel like your organisation, family, or trust needs to have exposure to this type of investment, please reach out to me here to discuss how I could assist. The Transformation of Value PodcastSign up to New Wealth Foundations here: A self-guided personal finance course designed from a wealth-builder's perspective.Hey! INSANE TRUTH About NZ Property Market / Ep 338

Forgive the MR Beast style introduction also for those of you who noticed – this is the actual episode where I learnt that dirty trick though so you’re witnessing history really (Where Ed McKnight gives away the secret to making a great podcast thumbnail). This market really is insane though, and at some stage, maybe even in the next 6 months, things could look a lot different. Hey! Regulatory Rumbles / News of the Money-World Ep 65

Too much regulation and innovation is snuffed out - too little, and people lose money. Still, when it's central planners and incumbents who ultimately are driving the push towards MORE regulation....well forgive my cynism.Personally, I want to be certain that in some parts of the playground, when investing, things are transparent and I get what's advertised on the tin. In other areas, especially those that are new - well we should let the fools be separated by their money no? It's this activity that brings change, which ultimately leads to better outcomes for consumers.___________________News of the Money-World! Immunised from Banking Lurgy? Ep 335 David Tripe

The Global Financial Crisis (GFC) left deep scars that have yet to heal. Recent bank failures testify of this – it’s the equivalent of an 80 year old having a fall. Although we have plenty new regulations, the stay of execution’s only postponed until the next trigger comes across an itchy finger.  David Tripe, a professor of banking studies with Massey University. Read more of my views on this here. David is a banking specialist with interests in property, economics (focusing on monetary policy), and corporate governance. Before joining Massey University in 1994, he worked for 17 years in New Zealand's banking sector, acquiring diverse experience, and maintains interest in banking developments.Hey!
