In today’s “questionably awesome” episode, Evans and I are talking about goals. We cover goal-setting at work, setting an intention to find joy in your life and how to meet your reading goals. Review of the Week: MsLids Another aha moment thanks to Lori and Evans! Whenever I need some inspiration, laughter or an aha moment, I tune into Earn Your Happy, and usually there is always something in an episode that is exactly what I need to hear. I was listening to Evans and Lori talk about pivots and Lori was sharing the story about baby sea turtles and it was the aha, calming advice I needed. You see I’m a mom to a 14 year old middle schooler that has really struggled this year and my momma bear has wanted to come in and “fix” it. Hearing that the turtles need to struggle on land so they can survive in the sea was a great analogy for parenting middle school girls. This struggle is part of her learning how to figure things out and my job is to provide her with the tools to help but not do it for her. Thanks as always for the motivation!! Question 1: Morgan I took a job recently that feels like the right thing right now, but as soon as a better opportunity comes up I want to take it. How do I do that without feeling guilty about leaving my current job? Question 2: @aspengineer How do you have time for reading? Reading more is a big goal! Question 3: @cailynprins What are the little things you do every day to bring yourself joy?

465: Make room for your 2020 dreams
In This Episode You Will Learn About: -Getting clear on what’s important to you in 2020 -Checking in with your dreams every time you go to make plans Resources: -Learn more: eventluv.com -Learn more: The Bliss Project -Read: A Tribe Called Bliss Show Notes: It’s almost time for the new year, and we get to choose how we feel about it. There is so much beautiful energy around 2020 of manifesting what you want and getting rid of what you don't want. A lot of times I fail at reaching my goals because I’m prioritizing things that are less important or not important or things that I don't actually want, and I get stuck in the busy work. And the more and more clear that I've gotten about letting go of things, the more I’ve been able to focus on what matters. I want you to ask some simple questions: -What needs to go? -Who do you need to say no to? -What do you need to stop doing? -What do you need to let go of in order to make room for what you want? I hope today’s quickie serves as a reminder or way for you to be able to get back to the heart-centered reason of WHY you’re working on your dreams.

Maybe you’re not doing the things to hold yourself accountable to your goals, like telling people or putting money down. Wherever you’re at, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Just know that things are working even when they feel like they're not working and all you need to know is, you’ve got this. Review of the Week: chandlerrae12 My Cup of Energy & Life in the Mornings! Good morning Lori and Evans (btw, love your name!)! Just wanted to start off by saying that you two are my pick-me-up for the rest of the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays as I am driving to class - especially in Phoenix traffic! I feel as though I am sitting right there with you, sipping on my iced matcha latte, laughing at the hilarious tangents and ideas that are thought of; you guys need someone to make a list of all your brilliant ideas, haha! Anyway, I love you both so much and appreciate your wisdom for this soon-to-be college grad! Everything is so relatable and so true. Keep on being your authentic selves and I will continue to do the same. Much Love, Chandler Derby Question 1: @empowermentwithelizabeth Advice for when you invest in yourself, do the work, but feel like year after year you're not reaching goals/not much further than the previous year? Question 2: @tay_pelletier How can you prioritize goals without losing work/life balance? Question 3: @mindset_michelle How many goals at a time can you work on?
