She wanted to have them when we got married but now doesn’t anymore. On today's Patrick Madrid show, Jodi wants to convince her friend about changing his practice of receiving the Eucharist without Confession, Greg disagrees with what Patrick said to a caller yesterday about Baptism, and Patrick provides Brad with some resource to help him discern a call to the diaconate.   (00:42) Jodi - I have a friend who won't go to confession or mass but receives the host. Can you help me convince him to change this practice?   (12:56) Patricia - My grandson, who is Catholic, is getting married in April, but his fiancé is not baptized. Is it okay for me to attend the wedding?   Break 1   (18:37) Greg - I disagree with what you said yesterday about the priest who put his thumb on the baby forehead then it wasn't an actual baptism. I think that there are so many priests who mess up the proper way that it would cast doubt on the validity of many sacraments of the Church.   (28:03) Brad - I am discerning becoming a deacon and I was wondering what I can read about this.   Break 2   (37:18) Arthur - I am worried about my family not making it to heaven because I don't evangelize. I am the only Catholic in the family, and I don't talk about the faith with them. What should I do?

I still feel tempted to return to witchcraft and I wonder if you have any advice?   Break 1   (24:07) Jim - I go to confession every 3 weeks or so, but my wife doesn't want to go to confession because she doesn't want to have a middleman in the priest.  In hour 3 of today's Patrick Madrid Show, Elaine calls to comment on some callers and thank Patrick, Patrick helps guide Pedro through the feeling of being in a roller coaster, and Rose asks about the Church's position on Limbo.   (0:29) Elaine - I have a cousin who hasn't been to confession in a long time, and I thank you for your wise words.   (12:03) Pedro - Since November I have been going to Mass every Sunday. It is a roller coaster in my faith where sometimes I feel really holy and sometimes I feel not holy at all. On today's Patrick Madrid show, Patrick discuses wrestling against the principalities and powers with Al, Paul has a question about Baptism, and Sam wants to know, can you date someone if your annulment is denied. Patrick offers thought provoking answers and commentary to help listeners better understand the Catholic faith and what the Church teaches.   (00:38) Al - Principalities and powers: why does it say we wrestle against them in Ephesians as if they are bad, if they are Angels?   (3:30) Paul - My friend had twins who were born prematurely and got baptized but the priest didn't use the word 'you' when baptizing but the baby's name. Is it still valid?   Break 1   (20:20) Marilyn - We prayed the rosary before Mass yesterday. We prayed the Sorrowful Mysteries on Sunday because of Lent but I had never heard of that. In hour 2, Patrick gets a call from Nicole commenting on a prior caller's situation with her gay friend attending the wedding, Myra wants to know about being baptized incorrectly, and George also discusses inviting a gay couple to the wedding. Patrick astutely directs the conversation and provides smart answers in response to these and other concerns.   (00:41) Nicole - About the woman with friend who is gay: She has to look at it through the biblical lens. She should also not invite drunkards or adulterers or any other sinners to her wedding.   (7:43) Myra - What happens if you are baptized incorrectly can you go to heaven?   (13:08) George:  Inviting a gay couple to a wedding: I did invite a gay couple to my wedding because I wanted all of my close friends to be at the Mass. On Hour 3 of today's show, Patrick continues to help John sort through a difficult situation involving his wife finding out that he was unfaithful, is adding something for Lent just as good as giving something up? On today's hour 2 of the Patrick Madrid show, Andrew calls in to defend the priest who heard a previous caller's confession. Hear what Patrick has to say in response and also a caller Patrick, tells us about his confession experience after being away from the Church for 30 years.   (0:33) Andrew - I want to defend the priest who told her to make an appointment.   (8:25) Sam - Why do you say the same prayer over and over again in the Catholic Church?   Break 1   (18:48) Jamie - I’m' asking God to bring to me sins that I've forgotten, and he's brought them to me. If I don't bring them to confession is that a sin?   (25:17) Meleena - Epstein Files: I don't think you should be talking about them because there are other outlets that ARE talking about it. AND I was a non-Catholic for a long time and when the priests ask you to make an appointment for later, they aren't being rude or blowing you off.   Break 2   (33:02) Roy - About confession: There has to be a standard and it's the #1 religion.  You have to do confession and be right.  We have 'recovering Catholics' in my non-denominational chruch, and I've told them to not diminish the Catholics, as millions of people love the Church and they've kept the Church strong.   (38:20) Patrick - I went to confession for first time in 30 years and the priest asked me if I broke each commandment, one by one.  I said yes to all.  Then he asked if I helped someone get an abortion.  I said no.  Then he forgave me and gave me two "Hail Mary's" and said "welcome back."
